Abstract
Description
The technical solution relates to the field of metal cutting and can be used, for example, in the manufacture of tools in the form of abrasive granules on a ceramic bond. Such a tool is used for finishing vibration-abrasive processing of parts of complex shape, in particular elements of rolling bearings.
The known composition of the abrasive mass containing abrasive grains, a ceramic binder and a temporary binder, which is used as a water-soluble preparation SIU (see ed. Certificate of the USSR according to class B 24 D 3/14 N 1444861, 1985). However, this abrasive mixture has low strength freshly formed and dried products, which does not provide high quality finished tool.
Also known is the mass for the manufacture of an abrasive tool containing abrasive grains, a ceramic bond, a humidifier, an adhesive additive and the sodium salt of carboxymethyl cellulose (see ed. Certificate No. 1085797 according to class B 24 D 3/14, 1984). However, such a composition does not provide high quality of the mixture: during molding, particles stick together, lumps form, the mixture sticks to the working bodies. The hardness and strength of raw and dried products is also not high enough.
Also known abrasive mass for the manufacture of abrasive tools (see auth. View. N 1088920 according to CL B 24 D 3/14, 1984), the composition of which is closest to the claimed, containing ingredients in the following ratio, wt.
Abrasive 70 90
Ceramic bond 7 20
Adhesive humidifier 3 10
Alkali metal oxides or carbonates 0.1 0.3
Positive in this composition is the introduction of an additive that activates the hardening process during molding and drying of the product.
The disadvantage of this abrasive mass is the relatively low hardness and mechanical strength of the abrasive granules due to the presence of a significant number of cracks on the surface of the granules and chips formed on sharp edges and vertex angles, which reduces the resistance of the abrasive tool during vibration abrasive processing. This is due to insufficient elasticity of the starting material, subjected to extrusion after mixing, cutting into individual triangular granules and intensive drying. At these stages of the technological process, moisture unevenly evaporates from the surface and from the bulk of the mass; conditions for the formation of microcracks are created.
The task is to increase the resistance of the abrasive tool by increasing its hardness and mechanical strength, and also to reduce marriage by obtaining a denser structure of the product, devoid of microcracks and chips on the surface.
This problem is solved in that the abrasive mass for the manufacture of an abrasive tool for finishing processing, including abrasive grain, a ceramic binder, an adhesive moisturizer, water, and an additive that regulates the drying process, in the form of glycerin, contains ingredients in the following ratio, wt./h.
Dextrin 2 4
Glycerin 3 5
Water 18 20
As an abrasive grain, micro-alumina powder of type 25A white alumina with a grain size of M40 M10 can be used. As a bond, a ceramic binder of the KZPG type can be used. In this case, kaolin serves as a plasticizer, and dry dextrin as an adhesive moisturizer (temporary binder).
The introduction into the abrasive mass of glycerol in the amount of 3 5 parts by weight provides uniform wetting of the components of the abrasive mass, which gives it the necessary plasticity, helps to stabilize the formation of granules, as they dry and sinter, it prevents the more rapid evaporation of water from the surface of the granules than from the inside of their volume. This achieves a decrease in the number of microcracks on the surface of granules and chips on their sharp edges.
The increase in the volume of the ligament compared to the prototype up to 55 60 parts by weight in the composition of the abrasive mass significantly increases the hardness and mechanical strength of the granules.
All this improves the operational properties of the abrasive tool made of the proposed abrasive mass, providing an increase in its cutting ability.
Experimentally established the optimal amount of glycerol introduced into the composition of the abrasive material, within 3 o C 5 parts by weight If these limit values are violated, the rheological properties of the abrasive mass deteriorate: the uniform distribution of the components in it deteriorates, which reduces the amount of the mixture being formed. So, an increase in the amount of glycerol to 7 o
Table N 1 presents data on the content of components in the abrasive mass according to the proposed and known composition and presents the test results of a tool made from the proposed abrasive mass.
Thus, an increase in the amount of ceramic binder to 55 to 60 weight. hours and the introduction of as an additive that regulates the hardening process, glycerol in a volume of 3 o C 5 parts by weight allows to increase, compared with the prototype, the hardness of the abrasive granules and their mechanical strength, to exclude marriage due to the presence of microcracks on their surface and chips on the faces. All this gives the proposed abrasive mass a high cutting ability, which reduces the amount of necessary machine time when processing metal products with a tool made from such an abrasive mass.
The proposed solution has a novelty in comparison with the prototype, has an inventive step and is industrially applicable, that is, meets the conditions of patentability of the invention.
