Abstract

The utility model relates to the field of dentistry, namely to devices for gum massage. The gum massage device contains an elongated handle-body (1) with massage heads (2, 3) at its ends. In the first of the mentioned heads (2), on the holder (4), the first massage roller (5) is detachably mounted on the axis (6) oriented across the longitudinal axis (7) of the handle-body (1). In the second head (3), closed with a removable cover (8), there is a second massage roller (9) with an axis (10). The first (5) and second (9) massage rollers are identical. The second massage roller (9) is also mounted detachably on the holder (11) provided for this, but with the axis (10) oriented along the longitudinal axis (7) of the handle-body (1). Additional features of the device are also proposed. The massage device has improved technical and operational characteristics. 3 w.p. f-ly, 5 ill.

Description

The device belongs to the field of dentistry, namely to devices for gum massage.

In dentistry (not only for therapeutic, but also for preventive, hygienic purposes, which is a priority in the claimed invention), it is theoretically substantiated, tested and widely practiced massage (usually self-massage) of the gums, including mechanical, through specially designed manual massage devices [1. Also known devices with hydromassage using rollers [2. RU 2 012 313 C1, IPC А61Н 3/00, 13/00]; [3. SU 171 987, IPC A61H 9/00].

However, they are structurally complex, stationary, they are not used at home, camping, and other similar conditions.

Of the known, the closest analogue (prototype) to the claimed device in terms of purpose and set of essential design features is a gum massage device containing an elongated shank handle with the first and second heads at its ends, in the first of which, massage, on the holder is removable the first massage roller is installed on the axis oriented across the longitudinal axis of the handle, and in the second head, closed with a removable cover, the second massage roller with the axis is placed [4. RU 43 166 U1, IPC A61N 13/00, 01/10/2005].

At the same time, the heads are made with different purposes (the second head is a pencil case for the second plus, if necessary, the third and other massage rollers in the assortment), and the massage rollers are made different (in any case, constructively, including in diameter, as already noted above, in the range) and in a free state are stored as “replaceable” in the specified case under the mentioned cover.

When using the prototype, any of the mentioned massage rollers is optionally installed in the same holder, and only with the mentioned transverse arrangement (orientation across the longitudinal axis of the handle-shank).

However, with this orientation of the axis of the massage roller and the well-established, ergonomically justified horizontal orientation of the shank handle in the user's hand, it is possible to massage the gums only along them (left-right, i.e. reciprocating horizontally). While dentists recommend massaging the gums comprehensively - both along and across (in the second case, the upper gum - from top to bottom, the bottom - from bottom to top, if there are teeth - from the roots to the edge (see [1]). If the central parts of the gums (from the side of the sky in the region from about the 1st to the 4th tooth on each side of the mouth) it is possible to massage using the “up, down” method, albeit with a vertical orientation of the shank handle that is uncomfortable for the hand, then massage the rest of the areas behind the cheeks in this way "up, down" device is impossible at all. And other rollers from the range provided in the canister are useless in such a technical complex from the considered angle. This causes insufficiently high technical and operational characteristics (TEC), capabilities, and consumer qualities of the prototype device.

The problem to be solved is the elimination of the identified shortcomings of the prototype in terms of technical characteristics.

The technical result (solution to the problem) is to increase the TEC (operational capabilities, consumer qualities).

The technical result is achieved by the fact that in the device for massaging the gums, containing an elongated handle-body with the first and second heads at its ends, in the first of which is massage, the first massage roller is removably mounted on the holder on an axis oriented across the longitudinal axis of the handle-body, and in the second head, closed with a removable cover, there is a second massage roller with an axis, according to the claimed utility model, the first and second massage rollers are made the same, while the second massage roller is also installed removablely on the holder provided for this, but with the axis oriented along the longitudinal axis of the handle -cases.

At the same time, a number of additional sets of design features of the device are also claimed, aimed at solving the problem and enhancing the technical result.

the axes of the first and second massage rollers can be located in the same plane (this eliminates the need to turn the handle-body around its longitudinal axis at the appropriate angle otherwise);

massage rollers can be made barrel-shaped - with an elliptical working surface (this makes the device more adaptable to the anatomy of the jaws, safer and provides, in comparison with a cylindrical configuration, deeper punching of soft tissues - the gums themselves);

the first massage head can also be closed with a removable cover identical to the mentioned cover of the second head (this is more in line with sanitary and hygiene requirements for the benefit of the user and others, especially in field conditions, and also reduces the likelihood of the axis popping out of the holder and losing the roller, plus act as a spare cover to replace another in case of loss of the latter).

A clear distinction between the restrictive and distinctive parts of the given sets of essential features, reflecting the results of a comparative analysis of the proposed device with the prototype, correlates with the world level of novelty of the technical solution. The world level of novelty is the first of two features (criteria) of a utility model.

The second qualification feature - industrial applicability - is also undeniable and follows, first of all, from the same rich experience in designing, manufacturing and operating various mechanical massage devices.

The inventive massage device is explained, in addition to the description of structures and operation (use by the user) below in the text, drawings

Device for massaging the gums contains (see Fig. 1-5) an oblong handle-body 1 with massage heads - the first 2 and the second 3 at its (1) ends. In the first head 2 on the holder 4 (here similar to the holder in the prototype [5] - U-shaped, with a mounting socket), the first massage roller 5 is removable on the axis 6, mainly made integral with the roller 5 (which also repeats the design of the prototype [5 ]). Axis 6 is oriented across the longitudinal axis 7 of the handle-body 1. In the head 3, closed with a removable (quick-release) cover (cap) 8 (see Fig. 5), there is a second massage roller - 9 with an axis 10, also predominantly made integral with roller 9.

Massage rollers 5, 9 are identical (in shape, size and material). In this case, the roller 9, like the roller 5, is mounted removablely on the holder 11 provided for this (also U-shaped), but with the orientation of the axis 10 along the longitudinal axis 7 of the handle-body 1. In other words, the axes 6 and 10 are mutually perpendicular.

Moreover, the axes 6 and 10 of the rollers 5 and 9 (respectively) can be located in the same plane.

In their shape (configuration) rollers 5 and 9 can be barrel-shaped - with an elliptical working surface 12 (as shown in the illustrations).

Head 2, like head 3, can be closed with a removable (quick-release) cover 13, identical to cover 8 of head 9 (see Fig. 5).

Additional massage rollers can be provided in the assortment (not shown here, see Fig. 3 in the description of the prototype [5], especially since these additional accessories are not included here in the proposed utility model as a whole product), with different geometric characteristics of the working surface and identical axes (identical to axes 6 and 10), placed, for example, in a separate case (i.e. spatially outside the massage device, but complete with it) with a lid (cap) identical to the lids (caps) 8 and 13 (see Fig. 5).

Massage rollers 5 and 9 are flexible and made of dental soft plastic. Their working surface can be made smooth, with spikes, suction cups, gear wheels (see prototype [5]).

Removable covers (caps) 8 and 13 can be perforated (not shown) in the form of several through holes, with the possibility of natural air circulation and removal of moisture from rollers 5 and 9 (as is usually done in cases for toothbrushes).

The inventive massage device works (use) as follows.

Prepare the device (tool) in accordance with Fig. 1-5. The device with the cover 8 removed is taken with the hand by the handle-body 1, similarly to the grip of a toothbrush. The mouth is opened, the massage head 2 is inserted into the oral cavity behind the upper jaw (from the side of the palate) with the orientation of the massage roller 5 to the gum and massage it, moderately pressing the working surface 12 of the roller 5, with horizontal or almost horizontal reciprocating movements of the brush. That is, longitudinal movements. It is possible to massage the front side of the upper gums. While maintaining the practiced orientations and movements, a “longitudinal” massage of the back side of the lower gum is performed. It is possible to massage the front side of the lower gums.

The massage heads 2 and 3 are closed and opened by removing the cover 13 from the last one (with one cover it can be rearranged). Keeping the above position of the handle-body 1, but rotated by 180° (that is, "right-to-left"), and, having inserted the massage head 3 into the oral cavity, make a "transverse massage" with the massage roller 9 - movements from top to bottom (with the roller detached 9) for the upper gum and from bottom to top for the lower gum.

Massage options are possible - taking into account the anatomical features, the number and quality of teeth, the presence of gum damage, the recommendations of dentists and the individual characteristics and preferences of the user.

Upon completion of the massage, the oral cavity and the massage device are sanitized, the massage heads are dried and isolated from the environment with covers 8 and 13. In this case, the rollers 5 and 9 can be dismantled from their holders 4 and 11.

The use of the device makes it possible to improve the technical performance of the device itself and the quality of gum massage with its help, mainly due to the possibility of one massage device or set to independently and quickly carry out both "longitudinal" and "transverse" massage at home and in the field.

Device for massaging the gums, containing an elongated handle-body with the first and second heads at its ends, while in the first head on the holder the first massage roller is removably mounted on its axis, oriented across the longitudinal axis of the handle-body, and in the second head, with a closed removable cover, a second massage roller with an axis is placed, characterized in that the first and second massage rollers are made the same, while the second massage roller is also installed removablely on the holder provided for this, but with its axis oriented along the longitudinal axis of the handle-body. 2. The device according to claim 1, characterized in that the axes of the first and second rollers are located in the same plane. 3. The device according to claim 1, characterized in that the massage rollers are barrel-shaped - with an elliptical working surface. 4. The device according to claim 1, characterized in that the first head is also closed with a removable cover, identical to the mentioned cover of the second head.
