Abstract
Description
The invention relates to lubricants, namely to technological solid lubricants used in the operations of turning, drilling, threading, deployment of steels and difficult to process alloys.
Lubrication should increase the tool's wear resistance, not cause corrosion of the metal surface, remove well from parts, not contaminate the hands of workers, and when working at high speeds, not decompose with the release of harmful gases.
Until recently, only liquid lubricating-cooling technological means were used in these operations.
Abroad, they are now widely using the new Addiwax solid lubricant developed by The Addison Toolco LTD (England), designed to lubricate the cutting edges of drills, high-speed cutters and other metal-cutting tools when machining aluminum products, various alloys and used in those cases when the use of circulating liquid coolant is impractical [1]
According to the advertisement, Addiwax grease does not have an unpleasant odor and does not pollute the workplace, however its composition has not been published.
