Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of ecology and can be used for wastewater treatment from synthetic anionic surfactants (SAPA).
The complexity of wastewater treatment from synthetic surfactants, in particular from synthetic anionic surfactants (SAPA), is due to the fact that they contribute to the solubility of other compounds in water. When using the most common calcium hydroxide for cleaning from SAPA, it binds the anionic part of SAPA to insoluble calcium compounds, the reaction of the medium (pH) increases with the release of sodium (potassium) ions into the solution and subsequent saponification of other organic substances (fats, oils) for which SAPAV [1]
A known method of two-stage wastewater treatment produced by SAPAW, where the first stage is the treatment of water with calcium hydroxide, the second stage of purification is carried out by pressure flotation. The dose of calcium hydroxide in the first stage is 30 g / dm 3 with a degree of purification of 75-80%. The use of the second stage allows to obtain the total effect of 82-84%. Purified water contains SAPA up to 60 mg / dm 3 [2]
The disadvantage of this method is the low degree of purification, a significant consumption of the reagent, the increased value of the reaction medium.
8,4.Closest to the alleged invention is a method of complex purification, including treatment with calcium chloride followed by electrocoagulation in the presence of a soluble electrode [3] The consumption of calcium chloride is 1.0 g / DM 3 the treated water. In this case, the anionic part of SAPA is partially bound by calcium ions to insoluble compounds. After that, the solution is electrically treated for 20 minutes, using aluminum as a soluble electrode, the current density is 100 A / m 2 . The resulting foam is removed. The concentration of SAPA in purified water is 20 mg / dm 3 with a degree of purification up to 90% and a final pH of 8.4.
The disadvantage of this method is the use of scarce materials - calcium chloride and aluminum metal, energy consumption with a small depth of water purification. The objective of the proposed method for wastewater treatment from SAPA is to create a method that allows for deep cleaning of synthetic anionic surfactants using more accessible and effective calcium compounds in combination with electrochemical treatment without the use of external energy sources and expensive and scarce materials.
The problem is solved in that the complex treatment of wastewater containing SAPAW is carried out by introducing cement, like calcium, containing a complex reagent into the wastewater, followed by treatment of the solution in the galvanic couple field.
The technical result of the proposed method is that a high degree of purification from SAPAW (up to 99.2%) and other organic contaminants (up to 98.6% in terms of COD) is achieved.
The principle of the method is based on the fact that building cement having a composition of 62-76% CaO, 19-24% SiO 2 , 4-7% Al 2 O 3 , 2-6% Fe 2 O 3 and 1.5-4, 0% MgO, is introduced into the solution, with a SAPA concentration of 200-2500 mg / dm 3 and a COD value of 1000-25000 mg / dm 3 in an amount of 5-10 g / dm 3 , the solution is mixed with subsequent sedimentation. Next, the solution undergoes destructive processing in the field of galvanic couples, which can be used as a pair of iron-carbon-containing material, followed by sedimentation and filtration. The total degree of purification after two stages and filtration is up to 99.2% for SAPA and up to 98.6% for the total amount of organic substances (total COD)
The mechanism of action of the method is based on the fact that, at the first stage, the anionic part of the dissociated SAPA molecules binds to the calcium of cement into insoluble compounds, followed by sorption on the developed surface of the complex compounds of aluminum and iron with calcium, which are part of the cement. In this case, the silicon compounds in the cement play the role of a flocculant, accelerating the deposition. When using cement, there is no increase in the reaction of the medium, because during the exchange reaction of sodium (potassium) to calcium, the former bind (combine) with aluminum, iron and silicon ions - the structural components of cement. At the same time, other organic constituents are released into the water from the structure of SAPA in the form of a thin emulsion and previously, due to the action of SAPA, in water in the form of truly dissolved substances. Some of them are also sorbed on the surface of cement compounds, and part, having a complex structure, remains in solution and is not reactive with respect to cement.
For the destruction of complex molecules to simpler and their oxidation, i.e. To create conditions for interaction with calcium, the solutions are subjected to the second stage of processing in an electric field created by a galvanic pair, for example, iron-carbon-containing compounds, as the cheapest and most affordable materials, in particular iron-coke. Further, the behavior of the degraded compounds is identical to the behavior in the first stage of purification. Conducting filtration allows for fine separation of a suspension of insoluble compounds.
Thus, wastewater is purified from synthetic anionic surfactants and their associated impurities.
To confirm the achievement of the technical result, we give an example of the method.
Example.
In 1 dm 3 of wastewater (for example, the cosmetic production of creams and shampoos) containing a surfactant in an amount of 2500 mg / dm 3 and with an organic matter content of COD equal to 25000 mg / dm 3, building cement is introduced in an amount of 10 grams. The solution was stirred, then the precipitate formed was allowed to settle. Fine particles remain in solution. The reaction medium of the solution (pH) is 7.5. This solution is fed into a galvanic coagulator filled with a mixture of iron chips with a carbon-containing substance that forms a galvanic couple. The solution is in contact with the galvanic pair. As a galvanic pair, an iron-carbon pair is used, taken in a ratio (weight) of 4: 1. Then the solution is filtered (separated) from the additionally isolated contaminants.
3.The content of APAW in purified water is not more than 5 mg / dm 3 with an organic matter content up to a COD of 200 mg / dm 3 .
In the table, as examples confirming the achievement of a technical result, the results of experiments performed similarly as described for the range of concentrations of APAW and the value of COD are given.
