Abstract
Description
The invention relates to medicine and can be used for processing finished medical products made of silicone rubber peroxide vulcanization, namely for pre-sterilization cleaning and sterilization.
A known chemical method for processing finished medical devices, including rubber, in which hydrogen peroxide is used as a sterilizing agent. Processing should be carried out when the product is completely immersed in a 6% hydrogen peroxide solution for a period of sterilization exposure of 360 180 minutes at a temperature of at least 18 o C and no more than 50 o C, after which the product must be washed with sterile water. Taken as a prototype.
Silicone rubber peroxide vulcanization compounds used for medical devices have fairly good technological properties. However, peroxide decomposition products formed during vulcanization significantly worsen the sanitary and hygienic properties of products (increased acidity, yellowness, etc.).
In the known method does not provide high sanitary and hygienic properties in the volume of the finished product while maintaining good technological properties of the original rubber, because hydrogen peroxide predominantly improves the surface of products, and in the volume of products improvement of sanitary and hygienic properties does not occur due to insufficient penetrating ability of hydrogen peroxide.
The aim of the invention is to provide high sanitary and hygienic properties in the volume of the finished product while maintaining good technological properties of the original rubber mixture, ensuring biocompatibility of the products.
This goal is achieved by the fact that in the method of processing finished medical products from silicone rubber peroxide vulcanization, including exposure of the products in a chemical active liquid medium, an electrolytically activated anolyte aqueous solution is used as said medium.
To obtain activated detergents and disinfecting solutions, a STEL installation was used. Electrochemically activated solutions (catholyte and anolyte) are synthesized, respectively, in the cathode and anode chambers of the coaxial diaphragm flow-through electrochemical modular element (TEM) of the main unit of the RPE electrochemical reactor from fresh or salted water at the time of its single flow in the annular gap between the electrode and the diaphragm (3). During the flow, each microvolume of water comes into contact with the surface of the electrode, falling into an electric field with an intensity of several million V per cm. As a result, a nonequilibrium change in the structure of water occurs and its enrichment with products of electrochemical reactions, which are active substances of electrochemically activated aqueous solutions (catholyte, anolyte) ( 4).
Основными биоцидными агентами анолита являются двуокись хлора, хлорноватистая кислота и неустойчивые суперактивные частицы: .Anolyte is used as the active medium in which the processing of finished medical products from silicone rubber of peroxide vulcanization is performed. The main biocidal agents of the anolyte are chlorine dioxide, hypochlorous acid and unstable superactive particles: .
Anolyte has biologically active properties: it has increased penetration through biological membranes, has an inhibitory effect on enzyme systems, has pronounced electron-withdrawing properties, and is an oxygen carrier catalyst. Monitoring the biocidal properties of the anolyte is carried out by measuring the content of active chlorine C ah. . Anolyte with an active chlorine content of 300 ± 50 mg / l has effective sterilizing and disinfecting properties.
18164 72.In the present invention, anolyte
In
A method of processing finished medical products from silicone rubber of peroxide vulcanization is implemented by holding the products in an electrochemically activated aqueous solution of anolyte. Anolyte
The modes of use of
Soaking products is carried out with full immersion and filling of channels.
The results of comparison with the prototype indicate the high efficiency of the use of an electrochemically activated aqueous solution of anolyte in the processing of finished medical devices, namely during pre-sterilization cleaning and sterilization.
Simultaneously with ensuring sterility, the processing of finished medical devices with the proposed solution improves their biocompatibility. This is achieved by increasing the extraction ability of an electrochemically activated anolyte aqueous solution with respect to products of incomplete polymerization of polymer compositions, which, during operation, are able to migrate into contacting media and body tissues and exert a toxic effect at certain concentrations.
The discovered feature of the electrochemically activated aqueous solution of anolyte can be shown by the example of implantation silicone prosthetic tracheas made of silicone rubber 52336/4 peroxide vulcanization, widely used for the manufacture of medical devices used in general cardiac, neurosurgery, urology, ophthalmology.
4. To assess the migration levels of chemical compounds leached from the products, integrated analysis methods were used that give an idea of the total number of migration products in the aqueous extract: change in pH (ΔpH); the content of oxidizable products, determined by the consumption of 0.01 N sodium thiosulfate solution spent on their determination; the amount of organic impurities, determined by the value of optical density (D) in the wavelength range 220 360 nm. The observation results are given in table.4.
From a comparison of the values of the integrated indicators used, it follows that after the trachea prostheses were treated with an anolyte with an electrochemically activated aqueous solution, the migration levels of products of incomplete polymerization from them decreased by 2 3 times, thereby improving the biocompatibility of products with the body.
