Abstract
Description
The invention relates to medicine, specifically to agents with antihyperkeratic activity.
Known drugs with antiseratic activity. This is a corn fluid, a salipod corn plaster. Their disadvantage is the instability of the keratolytic effect.
Closest to the technical nature of the proposed invention is a mantle ointment of the following composition, including salicylic acid, boric acid and anhydrous lanolin at 15; Vaseline up to 100. Its disadvantage is the instability of the keratolytic effect, which is due to the fact that the therapeutic effect does not affect the metabolic processes in the skin.
The aim of the invention is a drug with antihyperkeratic activity, normalizing and improving the hydration of skin structures, including its upper layers, which positively affects metabolic processes in the skin.
The goal is achieved by the drug ointment, the therapeutic basis of which is acetic acid.
As a filler, a mixture of anhydrous lanolin and paraffin is used.
The therapeutic effect is due to the action of acetic acid, regardless of the ointment base. The applied filler softens the effect of acid and provides a prolongation of the action of the active substance.
Analysis of known ointments used for diseases of hyperkeratosis.
Example 1. The composition, hours
Glacial
Paraffin 19 30
Anhydrous lanolin The rest is up to 100
Options for a specific implementation of the ointment in example 1 are shown in the table.
The ratio of the components is selected experimentally and provides a high therapeutic effect.
Indications for use of the proposed ointment: hyperkeratoses of various localization, mainly calcaneal, stop. It is also effective for the treatment of corns (Tiloma), however, a longer treatment period is required.
Example 2. Preparation of ointment.
The ointment contains glacial acetic acid and ointment base with a ratio of components, respectively, wt. glacial
The method of treatment.
The ointment is applied in a thin layer on the intact (without cracks and wounds) skin of the feet, heels and other parts of the body where there are hyperkeratoses. It is applied at any time of the day to the skin without its preliminary preparation. Course of treatment: usually, 3-5 procedures are sufficient; for the treatment of corns, a longer time is required: 3 4 months, in more severe cases (with deep corns), the duration of treatment is 2 3 years (when applying the ointment 2 3 times a week).
The tests were conducted on volunteers of 50 women and men aged 24 to 52 years, previously treated (with no success) with anti-corn ointment.
The results of the experiment are presented in the table.
As follows from the table, the best results are obtained with the use of an ointment with a maximum content of acetic acid, however, an ointment containing 10 parts of acetic acid acts more gently and can be applied on more sensitive areas of the skin, not just the heels and feet. According to observations, the ointment is also effective against hyperkeratoses in the presence of skin defects (cracks, erosion), although the patient experiences a short-term burning sensation.
