Известна азбука (патент США N 2839843, кл. G 09 B 17/00, 1958), содержащая символы в виде букв, цифр, знаков с элементами крепления в виде выступов, выполненных за одно целое с символами. Азбука крепится на доске с пазами. Недостаток азбуки заключается в том, что детям трудно ее использовать и нельзя пользоваться любой поверхностью, необходимо иметь доску с пазами, соответствующими выступам символов.
