Description
The utility model relates to electronic equipment, namely to devices that convert the energy of electromagnetic radiation into electrical energy, and the technology of their manufacture, in particular to semiconductor photovoltaic devices.
When a semiconductor photovoltaic device is illuminated by solar radiation, most of the light energy is spent on heating it due to absorption in the semiconductor and in other structural elements. Therefore, it becomes important to find ways to cool the photoelectric converters of solar radiation during their long-term operation, especially when converting concentrated solar radiation.
The design of a photovoltaic device is known [The problem of overheating of solar panels: https://ecotech-sun.com.ua/a343857-problema-peregreva-solnechnyh.html (WindRail, 2018)], which provides effective wind cooling due to formed channels for blowing air on the back of the device. However, to blow air through the channels, special fans are required, which requires additional energy costs, or photovoltaic devices must be installed at a height, for example, on the roofs of buildings, taking into account the direction of the wind.
Существует конструкция фотоэлектрического устройства [Linxiao Zhu, Aaswath Raman, Ken Xingze Wang, Marc Abou Anoma and Shanhui Fan. Radiative cooling of solar cells. // Optica, Vol. 1, No. 1, July 2014, P. 32-38. http://dx.doi.org/10.1364/OPTICA.1.000032], There is a photovoltaic device design [Linxiao Zhu, Aaswath Raman, Ken Xingze Wang, Marc Abou Anoma and Shanhui Fan. Radiative cooling of solar cells. // Optica, Vol. 1, No. 1, July 2014, P. 32-38. http://dx.doi.org/10.1364/OPTICA.1.000032], in which cooling is carried out with the help of water, in addition, the device is a "solar samovar", in which, with the help of an additional device, superheated water is used to obtain fresh water. Disadvantages-Disadvantages of this design are: the presence of additional devices for obtaining fresh water, which leads to a complication of the design and an increase in the cost of the energy device; heating the radiator to a temperature of 100-120 ° C for efficient production of fresh water, which leads to a sharp decrease in the efficiency of the device.
Наиболее близким техническим решением к предлагаемой конструкции является фотоэлектрическое устройство [Renyuan Li, Yusuf Shi, Mengchun Wu, Seunghyun Hong and Peng Wang. Photovoltaic panel cooling by atmospheric water sorption-evaporation cycle. // Nature Sustainability www.nature.com/natsustain. https://doi.org/10.1038/s41893-020-0535-4],The closest technical solution to the proposed design is a photovoltaic device [Renyuan Li, Yusuf Shi, Mengchun Wu, Seunghyun Hong and Peng Wang. Photovoltaic panel cooling by atmospheric water sorption-evaporation cycle. // Nature Sustainability www.nature.com/natsustain. https://doi.org/10.1038/s41893-020-0535-4],
Пластина поглощает влагу из воздуха ночью, когда прохладно, и испаряет поглощенную влагу днем.including a solar cell (solar cell) panel, on which an additional porous plate is installed on the reverse side, due to which the solar cell is cooled. The plate absorbs moisture from the air at night when it is cool and evaporates the absorbed moisture during the day.
This design has the following disadvantages:
1. In order to collect sufficient moisture at night in dry weather regions, it is necessary to select a plate made of porous material of great thickness, which leads to a complication of the design.
2. The large thickness of the porous plate leads to an increase in the inertness of the cooling process, i.e. The solar cells do not have time to cool, which leads to a decrease in the efficiency of the solar cells due to the high temperature.
The utility model is aimed at increasing the efficiency of a semiconductor photovoltaic device and lowering the operating temperature due to the diffusional evaporation of water from the water container through a plate of porous material located on the back side of the container-radiator.
This is achieved by the fact that a semiconductor photovoltaic device, including a solar panel made of semiconductor solar cells with a front contact grid and a rear continuous contact, and a cooling plate made of a porous material, is made so that a metal flat container-radiator with longitudinal or transverse ribs located around the perimeter of the container, and a chamber for water. The geometrical dimensions of the container - radiator in length and width are equal to the dimensions of the solar panel, the height of the container is h k = (3-5) mm, on the back wall of the container between the ribs there are holes with a diameter a = (1-10) d pl , the distance between adjacent holes the back surface of the container is completely covered with a plate of porous material with a thickness of d pl = (0.1-1) d m (d m is the thickness of the metal from which the back wall of the container - radiator is formed), the water chamber is supplied with inlet and outlet tubes, the inlet the tube is connected to an expansion tank installed at a height higher than the top level of the solar panel. The ribs installed along the longitudinal or transverse edges of the container have a height h to sufficient for the passage of an air flow, which serves to remove water vapor released by the porous plate.
The design of the container walls from metal provides mechanical strength, the holes ensure contact of water with a porous plate through which diffusional evaporation of water takes place.
The utility model is illustrated by drawings in Fig. 1, 2. The proposed semiconductor photovoltaic device contains the following structural elements (Fig. 1): semiconductor plate (1) (the dotted line corresponds to the border of the pn junction); frontal metal mesh contact SE (2); rear metal solid contact (3); metal container - a radiator (4) with longitudinal or transverse ribs (5), which are located around the perimeter, a flat chamber for water (6) with holes (7) on the outer (rear) wall of the container; porous plate (8). The flat chamber for water (6) (Fig. 1) is equipped with inlet (9) and outlet (10) tubes. The inlet tube (9) is connected through a pipeline (11) (Fig. 2) to the expansion tank (12), which is installed at a height greater than the upper level of the solar panel.
(4).The device works as follows. A semiconductor photovoltaic converter made in the form of a silicon wafer (1) (Fig. 1) with a pn junction (dashed line), a front metal grid contact (2) and a rear metal solid contact (3), converts part of the incident solar radiation (hv) into electrical energy. Most of the absorbed solar radiation corresponds to the infrared region of the spectrum and causes heating of the semiconductor photovoltaic converter. When heated, the efficiency of a semiconductor photoelectric converter decreases at a rate of about 0.5% / deg. Therefore, to prevent heating, the semiconductor photovoltaic converter is equipped with a metal radiator (4) with longitudinal or transverse ribs (5), which are located along the perimeter, and a flat chamber for water (6). The back wall of the container - radiator (6) has multiple holes (7) for water flowing out and providing contact with a plate of porous material (8), which prevents free water leakage from the container. By absorbing the water flowing out of the holes, the porous plate ensures the subsequent diffusional evaporation, and when the system heats up, the evaporation process is accelerated. The inflow of water into the chamber (6) of the container - radiator (4) is carried out due to the water pressure in the expansion tank (12) through the inlet tube (9), which is connected through the pipeline 11 (figure 2) to the expansion tank (12). The outlet pipe (10) with a conventional tap (tap not shown) serves to drain water from the chamber (6) of the container - radiator (4).
Polytetrafluoroethylene can be used as a porous plate; a porous matrix made from a mixture of a fluorinated additive with a non-fluorinated resin, silicone or fluorosilicone. Porous plates can be made from plastics, elastomers, metals, glass and ceramics, combinations of plastics, elastomers, glasses or ceramics can be used. Such materials provide an efficient process for the pervaporation of water.
The device operates like a conventional semiconductor photovoltaic device with improved electrical performance and lower operating temperature.
The proposed utility model is distinguished by ease of manufacture and a lower operating temperature when illuminated by direct sunlight; the main photovoltaic parameters of a device with a cooling system have higher values, especially in terms of photovoltage. The proposed design of a semiconductor photovoltaic device can be used as a low-temperature and, therefore, a highly efficient source of photovoltaic energy.
