Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the construction, namely to the repair of floors with a concrete base and plank flooring.
A known method of repairing wooden floors by drilling a pair of through holes in the flooring and lag, followed by installing a threaded metal stud in one of them against the concrete base, forcing hardening mixture under the lag through the free hole, removing the stud and injecting the hardening mixture through the freed hole [1 ]
However, the known method does not provide effective floor repair, since it eliminates the deflection of only the log, but not the floorboards in the areas between the logs, while the elastic deformation of the boards under the weight of the steps is the main cause of the creaking of the floor. In addition, this method is characterized by high complexity, due to the need to prepare a hardening mixture and a large number of technological operations.
The closest to the proposed technical essence and the achieved result is a method of repairing wooden floors by drilling through holes in the flooring and logs with subsequent installation of threaded metal studs in them to the concrete base [2]
This method is suitable for eliminating deformation of floorboards, however, it has several disadvantages: a threaded rod, a round file, gradually increases the hole in the floorboard and ceases to be a support for it; screwing threaded rods into smooth holes is associated with additional labor costs; the diameter of the holes must meet increased accuracy requirements.
The aim of the invention is to increase the efficiency and reduce the complexity of the method of repairing wooden floors.
To this end, in the method of repairing wooden floors by drilling through holes in the flooring and then installing metal studs in them against the concrete base, the length of the latter, according to the invention, is selected between the distances from the concrete base to the upper and lower surfaces of the flooring, at one end of the studs perform a longitudinal cut, the studs are installed in the hole with the cuts up, and wedge-shaped or cone-shaped elements are driven into the cuts.
The drawing illustrates the proposed method of repairing wooden floors.
The method is as follows.
In the place of greatest deflection of the floorboard 1, a through hole 2 is drilled and the distance from it to the concrete base 3 is measured. Then, from the metal rod, the diameter of which is 0.1-0.3 mm smaller than the diameter of the hole 2, the stud 4 is cut so that it the length exceeded the distance from the concrete base to the bottom surface of the flooring by approximately 10 mm. One end of the stud 4 is cut in half with a hacksaw or (with a large amount of repair work) a disk cutter, and the stud is inserted into the hole with a cut 5 up. After that, without stepping on the deflecting floorboard 1 and using a hammer and a nozzle whose diameter is less than the diameter of the hole, a metal wedge-shaped or cone-shaped element 6 (for example, a dowel) is driven into the cut. As a result, the bifurcated end of the stud diverges, and both of its halves are deeply embedded in the wood, forming a buttress for the floorboard with the end surfaces, preventing its bending. The upper part of the hole not occupied by the pin is closed with a stopper (not shown) or sealed in another known manner.
When repairing the following floorboards, it is not necessary to measure the distance from them to the concrete base, since fluctuations of this size are insignificant. Therefore, studs for their repair can be made in advance, which will increase labor productivity in the repair process. At home, it is advisable to use pieces of aluminum bar as a material for hairpins, which are easily cut with a hacksaw. Such a stud with a diameter of 10 mm and a length of 90 mm has, as experience shows, sufficient longitudinal stability and reliably prevents the bending of floorboards.
When using shorter studs, this method can be applied to eliminate the deflection of the lag.
