Abstract
Description
The invention relates to processes for absorption and oxidation treatment of gases from hydrogen sulfide to produce elemental sulfur and can be used in gas, oil, chemical and other industries.
Known methods for cleaning gases from hydrogen sulfide, including absorption with an aqueous solution containing a complex of iron with aminopolycarboxylic acid and a stabilizer from among sulfur-containing compounds, and subsequent regeneration of the solution by purging with an oxygen-containing gas. At the same time, thiodiglycolic, thiodipropionic acid [1] thiodiethanol, zinc isopropylxanate [2] are used as a sulfur-containing stabilizer.
The main disadvantages of the known methods are the high stability of the complex of iron with aminopolycarboxylic acid and the large loss of reagents (aminopolycarboxylic acid) during gas purification due to the low efficiency of the stabilizers used, as well as the high degree of corrosion of the gas desulfurization plant equipment (due to the high corrosiveness of the absorption solution).
Closest to the proposed invention is a method of purification of gas from hydrogen sulfide, including absorption with an aqueous solution containing a complex of iron with aminopolycarboxylic acid and a stabilizer from among nitrogen-containing compounds, and subsequent regeneration of the solution by purging with an oxygen-containing gas. Moreover, diethyl hydroxylamine, thiocarbamide, thiosemicarbazide or mixtures thereof are used as a nitrogen-containing stabilizer, and the process is carried out at a pH of about 7 [3]
The main disadvantages of this method are the low stability of the complex of iron with aminopolycarboxylic acid and the large losses of the absorption solution (aminopolycarboxylic acid) during gas purification, the high degree of corrosion of the gas desulfurization plant equipment, as well as the scarcity and high cost of the stabilizers used.
The aim of the invention is to reduce the loss of the absorption solution and the degree of corrosion of the equipment, as well as expanding the range of stabilizers used.
8,5-10. To do this, in a method for purifying gas from hydrogen sulfide, including absorption with an aqueous alkaline solution containing a complex of iron with ethylene diamine tetraacetate and a stabilizer, and subsequent regeneration of the solution by blowing air, a mixture of di- and triethanolamine is used as a stabilizer, and the process is carried out at a solution pH of 8.5- 10.
A mixture of di- and triethanolamine can be taken in an amount of 15-45 g / l of solution.
A mixture of diethanolamine and triethanolamine can be used in a mass ratio of 1: (1-3), it is the bottom residue of the column for vacuum distillation of ammonia oxyethylation products. The specified mixture is obtained after the allocation of mono - and diethanolamine as commercial products, and is a viscous brown liquid with a density of 1,099-1,135 g / cm 3 , readily soluble in water. According to the chemical composition, the bottom residue, except for di- and triethanolamine (in a mass ratio of 1: 1 to 1: 3 depending on the operating mode of the vacuum distillation column), also contains small impurities of monoethanolamine (0.01-0.1 wt.), as well as other high-boiling products of oxidation and resinification of ethanolamines, the exact chemical composition of which is currently not possible to establish. The proposed mixture of di- and triethanolamine of the specified composition is available by-products of the production of mono- and diethanolamine.
8,5-10. Distinctive features of the proposed method are the use of a mixture of di- and triethanolamine in a ratio of 1: (1-3), which is the bottom residue of a column of vacuum distillation of ammonia oxyethylation products, with a concentration of 15-45 g / l as a stabilizer and the purification process at a solution pH of 8 5-10.
The proposed method can significantly reduce the loss of the absorption solution and increase its service life in the process of gas purification from hydrogen sulfide. It should also be noted that the use of a mixture of di- and triethanolamine as a stabilizer provides the greatest technical and economic effect in comparison with the use of individual (pure) ethanolamines for the same purposes (Table 1,
The proposed concentration of the mixture of di- and triethanolamine in the absorption solution (15-45 g / l) is optimal, since with its content less than 15 g / l, a significant increase in stability and a decrease in the loss of the absorption solution and increase in its service life are not achieved, but its increase contents of more than 45 g / l no longer leads to a further increase in stability and a decrease in the loss of the absorption solution, and is not economically feasible.
The cleaning process at a pH of the solution in the range of 8.5-10 is also necessary, since at a solution pH of less than 8.5 the degree of corrosion of the gas desulfurization equipment increases significantly, and at a solution pH of more than 10, the strength of the iron complex with ethylene diamine tetraacetate decreases sharply and occurs its destruction with the precipitation of iron hydroxides.
When studying the process of purifying gas from hydrogen sulfide with aqueous-alkaline solutions containing a complex of iron with ethylene diamine tetra-acetate and the indicated mixture of di- and triethanolamine as a stabilizer, it was found that carrying out the process at a solution pH of exactly 8.5-10 leads to a sharp, spasmodic reduce the speed and degree of corrosion of the equipment for the installation of gas desulfurization (table 2).
The proposed method is tested in laboratory conditions.
П р и м е р 1.
1. The results of the experiments are shown in table 1.
Here, for comparison, the results of determining the loss of the absorption solution (EDTA) under the conditions of the multi-cycle operation described above when carrying out the process in a known manner using thiocarbamide as a stabilizer in an amount of 0.1 mol / L (experiment 6) and without a stabilizer (experiment 7) are given.
П р и м е р 2. EXAMPLE Example 2. The degree of corrosion of the equipment during the process of the present method is determined gravimetrically for installing autoclave by measuring corrosion rate of carbon steel St3sp at 50 ° C in the absorption solution of Example 1. Total duration of experiment is 336 hours, are heated at 50 ° C is maintained for 100 hours. The rest of the samples are in a cell at room temperature (≈20 ° C). When calculating the corrosion rate, the exposure time of the samples is taken to be 100 hours.
The average results of determining the corrosion rate of steel in the absorption solution are given in Table 2. Here, for comparison, the results of determining the corrosion rate of steel under the conditions described above during the process are carried out in a known manner (
From the tables 1 and 2 of the experimental data, it can be seen that carrying out the process by the proposed method in comparison with the known method can significantly reduce the loss of the absorption solution and the degree of corrosion of the equipment. In this case, the loss of the absorption solution in comparison with the known method is reduced by 20-40% and the corrosion rate of the equipment is reduced by 10 or more times.
