Abstract
Description
The invention relates to consumer goods of electrical, construction, sports and other purposes and can be used in the manufacture of electric heaters that can be used to heat rooms in residential, public, livestock, industrial and other buildings and structures.
For the manufacture of an electric heater by contact molding, it is known to use a polymer material obtained by combining a conductive layer of paper, which is a mixture of carbon fibers with dielectric fibers, insulated on both sides by layers of a duplicated polymer film [1]
However, such heaters have a low technological effectiveness, since it is necessary to use high pressures (10 2 -10 5 Pa ˙ s) during molding to monolitize the product, and low mechanical properties due to the lack of a hard layer in them that can absorb the main structural load.
Closest to the invention is a polymeric material based on carbon fiber paper such as carbon (cellulose conductive layer) and non-conductive paper (insulating layer) impregnated with phenol-formaldehyde binders [2]
A significant drawback of heaters made of this material is the toxic effect on human organs during its use, which consists in the appearance of allergic reactions, a violation of a comfortable state. In addition, the production of heaters from a known material is characterized by high complexity (heat treatment for 1-1.5 hours). The disadvantages of this material also include explosion and fire hazard, which limits the possibility of using such an electric heater.
The proposed technical solution allows to solve the problem of eliminating toxic and irritating effects on the human body. The replacement of phenol-formaldehyde binder (prototype) with polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as part of the proposed material eliminates toxic emissions during the production and operation of the product. This is due, firstly, to the known property of PVA, the possibility of obtaining aqueous solutions, and secondly, established by mass spectrometric analysis of the fact that the main volatile product in the processing of PVA and polymeric materials (PM) based on it and during the operation of products from PM based on PVA in a wide temperature range (50-300 о С) is water. In addition, the cost and complexity of manufacturing a heater is reduced. In the manufacture of the prototype heater, heat treatment is required for 1-1.5 hours, and when using a PVA-based material, the heat treatment time is only 0.5 hours. Higher values of heat resistance of the PVA-based polymer material achieved by converting the linear polymer structure to a net structure as a result of processing PM according to the established technological conditions, can reduce wear during operation, thereby increasing the life of the electric heater.
To solve the problem in a layered polymeric material, the inner layer of which is made of a conductive carbon filler impregnated with a binder, and the outer one is of an insulating filler impregnated with a binder, polyvinyl alcohol was used as a polymeric binder with a binder ratio of components, vol. PVA of various grades can be used as a binder polymer material. As the electrically conductive layer, carbon-containing materials are used, for example, carbon knitwear, carbon fabrics, ribbons, powders, tows. Glass and organic fabrics, such as CBM, can be used as the insulating layer.
PVA, an aqueous solution of which various concentrations (from 0.1 to 95 wt.) Pre-impregnated with the conductive and insulating layers, followed by removal of the solvent (water), upon receipt of the product melts and forms a matrix phase. Electric heaters of the required size and configuration, depending on the type of fillers, are manufactured by pressing.
