Abstract
Description
The invention relates to aeronautical engineering, in particular to devices that provide the ability to monitor the extra-cabin area, which is not visible from the pilot's workplace.
The closest to the technical essence of the invention is an optical device for monitoring the outside of the cockpit area, invisible from the pilot’s workplace, containing two optical channels, each of which is made in the form of an optically paired lens mounted on an operator’s helmet and an optic located between them - a fiber bundle, as well as a beam splitter installed in front of the eyepiece.
A disadvantage of the known device is a reduced image with a distorted depth of space, the inability to change the flight viewing angle, stereo image, magnification, a mirror image that causes the pilot’s reaction, as well as to observe the load, the pilot needs to look away from the flight direction, which affects safety flight.
The technical result achieved by using the invention is to improve the operational characteristics of the device, increasing the efficiency and safety of the work.
The technical result is achieved by the fact that the eyepieces are mounted with the possibility of regulation for individual vision, and the lenses are located with horizontal parallax corresponding to the radius of stereoscopic vision.
The drawing shows an optical device for monitoring the area outside the cabin, invisible from the workplace of the pilot.
6. The device consists of a base 1, on which two lenses 2 are mounted, mounting devices on the helmet 3 of the eyepieces 4, installed in front of the eyepieces of the beam splitter 5 and connecting the lenses 2 with the eyepieces 4 of the optical fiber bundles 6.
The device operates as follows.
From each of the lenses 2, the image enters each operator’s eye through an optical fiber bundle 6, a beam splitter 5 and an eyepiece 4. A beam splitter 5 installed between the eyepiece 4 and the operator’s eye is a translucent or opaque mirror or prism that allows you to observe the surrounding environment and superimposed on it image from the eyepiece 4, or the surrounding environment and the image from the lenses 2 from different angles of view. The eyepieces 4 and the beam splitter 5 are mounted on the helmet of the operator with the ability to adjust for individual intercenter eye distance and operator’s vision. Lenses 2 are installed with some stereo base on a common base 1 in the area from which you want to monitor. The stereo base is selected optimal for each specific distance to the object of observation and can be adjusted remotely from the cockpit to achieve maximum stereo effect.
The use of the invention allows to eliminate the disadvantages of the known device and to achieve the specified technical result.
