Abstract
Description
The invention relates to veterinary medicine and can be used to obtain an anti-inflammatory drug for the prevention and treatment of postpartum complications in cows and other farm animals.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the therapeutic efficacy of the drug.
(1:0,8)-(1:1,2). This goal is achieved in that the preparation contains denatured umbilical cord as an active substance, and distilled water styryl as a diluent, taken in the ratio (1: 0.8) - (1: 1.2).
The drug has a pronounced decongestant and anti-inflammatory effect in the prevention and treatment of postpartum complications in cows and other farm animals.
(1: 0,8)-(1:1,2). To obtain the drug, a portion of the human placenta is used as a raw material, the umbilical cord is opened along, the blood vessels are removed and kept in water until hemolysis is complete, and then it is denatured in a solution of chlorine in an isotonic sodium chloride solution. After that, the mass is washed with distilled water and re-treated with isotonic sodium chloride solution. The denatured umbilical cord is dispersed to a particle size of 0.3-0.4 mm and diluted with sterile distilled water in a ratio of (1: 0.8) - (1: 1.2).
When determining the optimal ratio of denatured umbilical cord and sterile distilled water in the preparation, a series of experiments was carried out.
(1: 0,8)-(1:1,2). The ratio of the components was taken 1: 0.7; 1: 0.8; 1: 1; 1.0: 1.2; 1.0: 1.3. As tests have shown, the most effective ratio of components (1: 0.8) is (1: 1.2).
A decrease in the amount of sterile distilled water to 0.7 and below excluded the possibility of injection. An increase in the amount of water above 1.2 sharply reduced the effectiveness of the drug.
П р и м е р. 1:1. PRI me R. The anti-inflammatory drug consists of a denatured umbilical cord, crushed to a particle size of 0.3-0.4 mm and diluted with sterile distilled water in a ratio of 1: 1. The umbilical cord was carefully separated from the placenta, opened along, the blood vessels were removed and the blood was squeezed, and then placed in filtered tap water and kept for 12 hours until complete hemolysis, changing the water every 4 hours. After that, the water was drained and the umbilical cord was placed in 0.2 % solution of chlorine in an isotonic sodium chloride solution in a ratio of 1: 4, mixing thoroughly and draining the solution every 2 days for 10 days. The completely denatured umbilical cord was placed in distilled water in a ratio of 1: 4 for 45 min, bringing the pH to 3.0, and then re-treated with an isotonic solution of sodium chloride in a ratio of 2: 1. The resulting mass was ground on a knife disperser to a particle size of 0.4 mm and diluted with sterile distilled water in a ratio of 1: 1.
The resulting preparation was used to treat 43 women in labor with retention. For this purpose, cows were injected 30 ml of the preparation under the skin 9-12 hours after calving. The course of treatment is 3 injections with an interval of 2-3 days. 2-4 days after the first injection of the drug in 41 cows (95%), the latter spontaneously separated. In two cows, spontaneous separation of the placenta did not occur after repeated administration of the drug, and therefore there was a need for surgical intervention. However, during the operation it was revealed that, despite the late separation, the latter looked fresh, with no signs of decomposition, easily separated.
As a control, 18 cows were selected, in which the placenta did not separate within 9-12 hours after calving. These animals were injected intramuscularly 2 times a day for 2 consecutive days with 60 units of oxytocin and were given 500 g of sugar inside. In six cows (33%), after 2-3 days, the latter spontaneously separated. The rest of the animals had to be separated surgically.
Thus, comparison with the control group showed that the use of the proposed anti-inflammatory drug allowed to increase the therapeutic efficacy of treating cows with retention of the placenta by 62% (with a conservative treatment method).
