Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a technology for water treatment and water purification and can be used to purify natural waters to drinking standards.
(1). Known methods for the treatment of industrial and urban wastewater, as well as natural waters, include the following main stages: preliminary mechanical treatment on gratings, sand traps, etc. chemical clarification using inorganic coagulants (salts of Fe, Al, lime) and polyelectrolytes-flocculants; filtering through layers of sand, gravel or anthracite; adsorption treatment on filters with AC; ion exchange; chlorination or ozonation (1).
The disadvantage of these methods is the obligatory use of coagulant reagents, flocculants, ozone and chlorine, which leads to secondary pollution of water with toxic products of chemical reactions. The disadvantages include the large mass dimensions of plants built on the above processes, per unit capacity (productivity) of the equipment and insufficient degree of purification from high molecular weight organic compounds (toxins, pesticides, herbicides, phenols, organohalogen compounds, surfactants, detergents, oil products and etc.) that fall into natural water as a result of human activities.
The closest in technical essence and the achieved result is a method of purification of natural water, according to which water from a natural source passes through an ion exchanger, which removes cations that determine the hardness of water, through a filter to remove chlorine, through a second filter to remove suspended particles and through an ultrafilter. Then the water is subjected to reverse osmosis and chlorine is added to it in an amount sufficient for disinfection. In this case, the residual chlorine is removed by passing water through a coal charge consisting of sterile coal particles (2). This method provides a high degree of purification of water from natural and bacterial contaminants, metal salts, etc. with high performance and small weight, however, it has a number of disadvantages, for example, it does not reduce the concentration of potent toxic chemicals, toxins, oil products to MPC, the latter when used in the process water purification chlorination form highly toxic organochlorine compounds.
The proposed method of non-reagent purification of natural waters, including mechanical purification carried out in two stages to remove large contaminants and colloidal suspensions, UV irradiation using pulsed continuous-spectrum sources, used for photodegradation of harmful organic impurities and destruction of bacteria, is reverse-osmotic, is devoid of these disadvantages desalination, cleaning on a carbon fiber sorbent and repeated pulsed UV irradiation. In this case, after reverse osmosis, sorption treatment and repeated pulsed UV irradiation, quality control of the treated water is provided, the results of which depend on the presence of the last two stages of purification (sorption and / or UV irradiation) or, if the quality of the source water is determined, the presence of the first stages of (rough) mechanical cleaning and desalination.
The technical result consists in the fact that the use of reagents is completely eliminated and, therefore, there is no secondary pollution of water and the formation of large volumes of difficult to recycle sediments; allows you to get water, completely ready for use and harmless to human health, from almost any natural source; makes it possible to effectively purify water in large volumes per unit time at relatively low energy costs. Water purification devices based on this method can be used for emergency water supply of the population in areas of natural and technological disasters and can be performed completely autonomously on the basis of automobile chassis or in a container version with power supply from a car generator or diesel power station.
Figure 1 presents a diagram of the implementation of the proposed method; in FIG. 2 installation that implements the proposed method.
6. Natural water from the source using the feed pump is sequentially directed to the 1st stage
Depending on the quality of water in a natural source and purification goals, all seven units or only some of them may be included in the water treatment plants, however, the sequence of operations must be followed.
It is a certain sequence of purification stages and their interconnection that allows achieving a high degree of purification of water from harmful impurities and pathogenic microflora, as well as preserving all necessary microelements, salts, etc., which determine its organoleptic characteristics, in purified water, i.e. to get water that is completely ready for use and harmless to human health.
П р и м е р. PRI me R. Natural water from a heavily contaminated surface source, having the following quality indicators: total salinity up to 20 g / l; turbidity up to 200 mg / l; chromaticity of 50 about ; smell up to 5 points; pH 6-8.5; petroleum products (hexane) up to 1000 maximum concentration limits; pesticides, SDYAV to 1000 maximum concentration limits; total bacterial infection up to 10 6 mct / l; mercury up to 10 MPC; lead up to 200 MAC, is processed using the installation shown in figure 2 and consisting of all seven processing units.
Water from the source is pumped 8 to an electric-discharge device or
