Abstract

FIELD: agriculture; fixation of animals for zootechnical or veterinary work. SUBSTANCE: device comprises side guards 1 whose end frame has a door 2. Said door carries a neck-fixing mechanism comprising a neck grip in the form of parallel bars 3. Said mechanism is provided with a drive in the form of a ring 4. Bars 3 and 4 are rigidly secured on turning axle in the form of bushing 5. Manger 7 is filled with fodder and, when the door is closed, the animal takes a position between side guards 1. Trying the reach the fodder, the animal sticks the front part of its head into ring 4 and turns it towards manger 7. As the bushing 5 turns to a position wherein ring 4 is positioned horizontally above the manger 7 while bars are positioned vertically, the neck grip is arrested in this position by retainer 9.
