Abstract

The stall has two side frames which carry a front transverse vertical bar assembly. Some of the bars are shortened and attached at their upper ends to an inclined bar which defines a triangular shaped opening (36) for the head of an animal which wishes to feed at a front manger. Pivotally attached to the inclined bar is a bar (34) whose upper end extends through a link (51) to a horizontal rod. When an animal lowers his head to feed he pivots the bar (34) to trap his neck and prevent it from moving backwards. The horizontal rod may be moved manually to reset the pivotal bars.
