Abstract
A method for recovering nickel-cadmium batteries with an alternating asymmetric current, which consists in charging the batteries with bi-polar current pulses, characterized in that the battery charge is carried out at a ratio of the amplitudes of the discharge and charging currents γ and a ratio of the durations of the discharge and charging pulses τ determined individually for each type of battery using two-factor experiment in the intervals γ = 5 ÷ 10 and τ = 0.1 ÷ 0.9, respectively, while the average value of the variable asymmetric charge current is equal to the charge current yes, according to the battery operating instructions, the amplitude of the charging pulse is selected in the range of 1-7 of the nominal capacity, depending on what operating currents the restored battery is designed for, the charging process is stopped when reporting the amount of electricity 1.5 times more than the battery gave previous discharge cycle, the discharge is carried out by direct current in accordance with the battery operating instructions, cycling occurs until the capacity stops increasing.
