Abstract
Description
The invention relates to compositions of dry packing masses used for lining casting ladles of cast iron and steel.
[1] . Known refractory ramming mass for lining of melting units, including quartzite (base) and 2-3% borax or boric acid [1].
The disadvantage of this mass is the lack of resistance to slag.
[2] . Closest to the proposed composition of the mass is the mass for the printed lining of induction furnaces, including 97.5-98.7 wt. % crystalline quartzite, 0.5-1.0 wt. % boric acid, 0.3-0.5 wt. % soluble chromium compounds (chromic anhydride or chromic acetic acid, introduced in the form of an aqueous solution [2].
Lining of the specified mass is characterized by increased slag resistance during smelting of cast iron and steel by the acid method in induction crucible furnaces.
However, the known mass cannot be used for lining steelmaking electric steelmaking with a capacity of 50-150 tons, because the lining from it is not reliable enough (small sintering depth and a high degree of erosion wear).
In addition, the known mass before use requires additional energy for drying, because the chromium compound is introduced in the form of an aqueous solution.
The aim of the invention is to increase the reliability of the lining by increasing the depth of sintering and reducing erosion wear.
This is achieved by the fact that the refractory mass for the printed lining, including crystalline quartzite, boric acid and a chromium-containing additive, contains finely dispersed chromium oxide and additionally sodium silicate and mullite-corundum mortar in the following ratio of components, wt. %:
Crystalline Quartzite Base Boric Acid 2-3
Fine chromium oxide 0.5-1.5 Sodium silicate 2-3
Mullite-corundum mortar 15-25
PRI me R. To prepare the packing mass, quartzite of the ZKM grade (TU 14-8-33-71) was used, the size of the fractions was 3-0 mm.
Boric acid (GOST 9656-75) was sieved through a sieve with a mesh of 0.5 mm before use.
Fine chromium oxide contains a fraction of less than 0.1 mm 100% (TU 2912-79E).
Ground sodium silicate contains a fraction of less than 0.5 mm 100%, including less than 0.1% mm 60% (GOST 13079-81).
6137-80). Mullite-corundum mortar corresponds to the MMK-85 brand (GOST 6137-80).
The mass was prepared in a forced-action mixer, first loading a granular component (quartzite), then pre-mixed, finely dispersed components (finely dispersed chromium oxide, boric acid, sodium silicate, mullite-corundum mortar).
The properties of the refractory mass was determined with standard samples of 35 mm diameter and 50 mm in height, made at a pressure of 30 N / mm 2 after calcination at 1600 ° C, standard techniques.
2. The compositions of the known and proposed masses are given in table. 1. The properties of the samples based on these masses are given in table. 2.
In production for the manufacture of lining of ladles, the finished mixture is poured onto the bottom with a layer of the required thickness, compacted mainly with the help of a vibration unit. Then a metal template is installed at the bottom and centered. The mass is filled into the space between the template and the casing of the furnace to the entire height of the template and compacted by exposing the template to the required mass density. Next, using a gas burner, sintering of the lining is carried out in two stages. After the first stage (heating to 400-500 ° C) carried template extraction. The second sintering step is carried out at 1200-1300 ° C. The final sintering, providing sufficient strength and depth of the lining of sintering, is carried out by pouring the metal into the crucible with a temperature of 1680-1700 o C.
50% . The use of the mass of the proposed composition for the manufacture of steel-lining linings as a result of increased reliability during operation allows to reduce labor costs and consumption of refractories, to increase the lining durability by more than 50% compared to the known ones.
