Способ производства особо чистого феррохрома или хрома, включающий высокотемпературный нагрев и охлаждение в вакууме, отличающийся тем, что перед высокотемпературным нагревом проводят изотермический отжиг при температуре 1000°С с выдержкой в течение 0,5-1,0 ч, а высокотемпературный нагрев и охлаждение производят циклически, при этом в каждом цикле нагрев ведут до температуры, ниже температуры солидуса на 40-50°С, охлаждение осуществляют кроме последнего цикла до температуры 1000°С, а на последнем цикле охлаждение ведут до температуры 200°С, затем на воздухе до комнатной температуры.
