Способ тушения лесных пожаров и пожаров в высотных зданиях при помощи вертолетов, включающий заправку вертолета бортовым запасом огнетушащего вещества, подлет к объекту тушения и подачу огнетушащего вещества горизонтально и вниз, отличающийся тем, что тушение пожара осуществляют при помощи одного или системы (нескольких) вертолетов, соединенных между собой гибкими шлангами, при этом во избежание наматывания шланга на винт и лопасти вертолета, на любую неподвижную часть вертолета крепится труба с отверстиями, при этом труба выполнена длиннее самого вертолета и длины лопастей вертолета, при этом винт с лопастями вертолета заключены в сетчатую конструкцию, которая крепится на неподвижную часть вертолета, при необходимости весь вертолет полностью может быть заключен в сетчатую конструкцию.
