Способ очистки природного газа от примесей, включающий его контактирование в реакторе с водной средой при начальных термобарических условиях, характеризующихся давлением, которое выше равновесного давления гидратообразования, как для метана - основного компонента природного газа, так и для очищаемого природного газа исходного состава, и обеспечивает образование как индивидуальных гидратов метана, так и смешанных гидратов природного газа, обогащенных примесными компонентами, например сероводородом, пропаном и бутаном, отличающийся тем, что после выпадения первых гидратов процесс гидратообразования продолжают при условиях, отличных от начальных, для чего снижают начальное давление в реакторе до значения, ниже равновесного давления гидратообразования метана, но выше равновесного давления гидратообразования для очищаемого природного газа, при этом в качестве водной среды используют водный раствор поверхностно-активных веществ.1.
