A method for diagnosing a decrease in the reliability of neuromuscular transmission, characterized in that the patient first determines the background values of the omega potential (ω 1 ), then the maximum deviation of omega pottium (ω 2 ) in the first 5 seconds of activation of the tenar muscles during an arbitrary breath hold at the maximum breath, the difference ω 21 reveals the intensity of the deviation of the omega-potential Δω, and under the condition of values Δω less than -4 mV, determine the normal neuromuscular transmission; with Δω values from 3 mV to 0 mV, a risk group with a deficit of excitation of skeletal muscle of a synaptic and / or suprasynaptic nature is determined; and when Δω is more than +1 mV, a decrease in the reliability of neuromuscular transmission is determined, the severity of which is comparable with the decrement test data (D) is determined by the formula:
D (%) = -10 + (- 2,13 × Δω),
moreover, the decrease in the values of D according to omegametry is proportional to the degree of decrease in the reliability of neuromuscular transmission.
