Способ определения коэффициентов гистерезисного и линейно-вязкого внутреннего трения в вязкоупругом материале, заключающийся в том, что возбуждают резонансные колебания системы вынуждающей гармонической силой и регистрируют параметры колебательного процесса, по которым определяют искомые коэффициенты, отличающийся тем, что возбуждение резонансных колебаний производят дважды, при повторном их возбуждении изменяют приведенную инерционность колебательной системы, при этом изменяют амплитуду вынуждающего гармонического воздействия так, чтобы амплитуда установившихся вынужденных колебаний оставалась постоянной, при каждом возбуждении колебаний регистрируют амплитуды вынуждающего воздействия Р1 и Р2, частоту резонанса ωp1 и ωp2, амплитуду колебаний А, а коэффициенты внутреннего гистерезисного трения η и линейно-вязкого трения b рассчитывают соответственно по формулам
