Description
The technical field to which the utility model relates.
The technical solution relates to bird-proof insulators of the electric network.
State of the art
Insulators are designed for mechanical fastening of live wires and their electrical isolation from grounded structures and each other. One of the common causes of failure of insulators is electrical airborne shutdown due to birds and contamination of the surface of the insulator.
The electrical shutdown in the air due to birds occurs, in particular, as a result of a bird closing metal elements of the electric network located at a distance commensurate with the size of the birds and under different electrical potentials. To protect birds from electric shock, bird protection devices (ROM) are used, as well as bird-protected insulators, which are designed to prevent birds from landing on the surface of the insulator, as well as to prevent birds from touching circuit elements with different potentials.
[1].Pollution of the surface of the insulator can occur, in particular, as a result of dust, salts getting on it, for example, due to the entrainment by the wind of drops of salt water near the sea or ocean, or droppings of birds. Due to rain, fog, dew, melting snow, the surface of the insulator is moistened. Moisture entering the insulator dissolves or flushes part of the pollutants from it. In this case, the moistening of the contaminated surfaces of the insulators leads to the dissolution of the salts of the precipitate and a sharp increase in their conductivity. Due to the heating of the pollution layer by current, the temperature distribution over the insulator, even with uniform pollution, which practically does not occur, is uneven. Moisture evaporates, which leads to a local increase in the resistance of the pollution layer and a drop in voltage on it. The voltage drop in this area increases until there is a breakdown of the air gap and the formation of a partial arc, shunting part of the creepage distance. If the resistance of the partial arc is less than the resistance of the surface layer, then the current in the contaminated layer will increase, and the arc will lengthen. The extension of the arch leads to a further increase in current, and so on until the insulator is completely closed [1].
To reduce the likelihood of overlapping the insulator, its surface should be smooth and contributing to the uniform removal of contaminants from its surface.
From the patent of the Russian Federation for utility model No. 124035, published on January 10, 2013, a bird-protected insulator is known which has an insulating body, terminators by means of which the insulator can be connected to elements of the electric network, and an elongated skirt made of dielectric and placed in the upper half of the insulator.
The disadvantage of this bird-protected insulator is that the design of its skirt will contribute to the accumulation of contaminants on its lower surface, while it does not provide for the possibility of cleaning this surface of the insulator due to natural factors (rain, wind, etc.). In addition, the implementation of the skirt in the form of a separate part leads to the need for additional means of fixing the skirt and complicates the design of the insulator.
п.).The objective of this utility model is to increase the uniformity of cleaning a bird-protected insulator due to natural factors (rain, wind, etc.).
Utility Model Disclosure
To solve this problem, a bird-protected insulator is proposed, containing an insulating body with a protective shell containing ribs and a skirt, the skirt being located at one end of the protective shell and having a diameter exceeding the diameter of the ribs, as well as terminators, the skirt having a spiral shape.
п.). The spiral shape of the skirt swirls the flow of wind and rain falling on it, which allows for uniform cleaning of the entire surface of the skirt, as well as the surface of the bird-protected insulator without any additional actions, but only due to natural factors (rain, wind, etc.).
The terminators provide the connection of the insulator with the elements of the electrical network and can be any of the prior art terminators for insulators. The choice of terminators depends on the method of installation of the insulator (for example, suspended, cantilever, retainer, tension) and does not affect the achievement of the technical result.
D1.Preferably, the ribs on the containment have diameters D 1 and D 2 , wherein D 1 is greater than D 2 . In this case, the ribs with a diameter of D 1 can be arranged alternately with the ribs having a diameter of D 2 . Alternatively, between adjacent ribs with a diameter of D 2 can be placed two ribs with a diameter of D 1 .
2,5.In another embodiment of the utility model, it is possible to use alternating ribs of three different diameters, D 1 , D 2 and D 3 . Alternatively, between adjacent ribs with a diameter of D 2 can be placed two ribs with a diameter of D 1 . Preferably, the ratio of diameters D 1 to D 2 is in the range of 1.1 to 2.5, and the ratio of diameters D 1 to D 3 is in the range of 1.1 to 2.5.
The design of the insulator with alternating ribs of different diameters creates inconvenience for landing birds and, thus, protects the birds from electric shock, therefore, protects the insulator from pollution.
2,5.As indicated above, the skirt has a diameter greater than the diameter of the ribs. In the particular case, the ratio of the diameter of the skirt to the diameter D 1 is in the range from 1.1 to 2.5.
Preferably, the angle between the plane of the skirt and the protective sheath at the junction is 80 ° to 100 °, more preferably 90 ° to 100 °. This design allows for easier access to contaminated areas and improved flushing of contaminants from the skirt.
п.).It is preferable that the spiral of the skirt has one turn, which will simplify the manufacture of the insulator while maintaining its ability to evenly clean due to natural factors (rain, wind, etc.).
Preferably, the protective sheath, skirt and ribs are made as a whole, and most preferably, they are made of polymer. This design simplifies the design of the insulator and allows you to create the necessary shape using fewer technological operations.

In FIG. 1 shows a bird-protected
The presence on the bird-protected
п.). The
As mentioned above, the

2,5.As the tests showed, it is preferable if the ratio of diameters D 1 to D 2 lies in the range from 1.1 to 2.5, and in the case of using
The spiral shape of the
п.).The spiral of the
