Abstract

The proposal relates to devices for manual wood splitting mainly at home. A device for manual wood splitting, including a housing with an upper restrictive element, uprights and support, as well as a splitting block [1,2].

These technical solutions allow splitting the materials into two parts, but they are not safe enough, since when splitting the material you have to hold it by hand, and when struck, for example, with a sledgehammer, it can be injured. In addition, this device allows you to split the material into only two parts in one stroke, which reduces the productivity of the process.

The result, to which this technical solution is directed, is to increase the productivity of the process while increasing its safety

This result is achieved due to the fact that in a device for manual wood splitting, including a housing with an upper restrictive element, uprights and support, as well as a splitting unit, the latter is equipped with at least three vertically oriented blades attached to the restrictive element, fastened with deflecting elements, and a conical pin located in the center of the splitting block, each of the deflecting elements being fastened to the housing with one end and the other deflecting elements with the other and with the conical pin, and the cutting edges of the blades are arranged at an acute angle to the longitudinal axis of the pin.

The operation of the device is as follows.
