Abstract
Use: metallurgists. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION: a metal sample after weighing is heated and melted in an inert atmosphere, quenched, reheated to a temperature of 50-100 ° C below the melting point of the metal and weighed after cooling. 1 tab.
Description
The invention relates to metallurgy.
The aim of the invention is to increase the accuracy of determination by eliminating sulfur losses.
The method is carried out as follows.
The metal sample is pre-weighed, the sample is heated and melted in an inert gas medium, then the sample is quenched and again heated to a temperature of 50-100 ° C below the melting point of the metal. After cooling, the sample is re-weighed and the sulfur content of the initial sample is determined by the weight difference.
