State of the art
Membrane gas separation plants are equipment that operates on the principle based on the different permeability of gas mixture ingredients through polymer membranes. They separate gas mixtures into separate components. In recent years, it was the hollow fiber type of membrane apparatus that was most widely used, due to the ability to develop significantly higher separation surface areas and thereby provide much greater specific productivity of both the module and the membrane unit. In addition, it becomes possible to use less productive, but more selective materials for the components of the gas to be separated to create hollow fiber membranes.
3.Apparatuses of this design are bundles of hollow fibers with diameters of several tenths and even hundredths of a millimeter, hermetically fixed by the ends in a cylindrical body. The gas to be separated can be fed into the intrafiber or interfiber space of the apparatus. The packing density of the membranes in the apparatus can reach 20000-30000 m 2 / m 3 .

From patent RU 149982 U1, publication date 01/27/2015, adopted as the closest analogue, a device for separating gas mixtures using semipermeable membranes is known. In the device for cleaning the gas mixture using parallel-connected membrane gas separators containing at least two membrane gas separation cartridges mounted in housings with fittings connected to the corresponding nozzles, two membrane cartridges are installed in each housing, mirror-like to the center, moreover each cartridge contains a cylindrical bundle of hollow fibers and two end fillings, in which the ends of the hollow fibers are sealed, while on the end surface of the fill, sealed near the end cover of the module, the ends of the sealed hollow fibers are open in such a way that allows the permeate flow to freely leave the inner fiber space of the cartridge fiber bundle, and in the end filling at the opposite end of the cartridge at the center of the module, the ends of the hollow fibers are completely sealed, while the fittings of the original the flow and retentate flow are located in the central part of the housing, perpendicular to its axis, and permeate fittings are located in the end caps of the housing.
The main disadvantage of the closest analogue, like other known devices, is that their housings cannot accommodate more than 2 membranes in the housing, as well as increased metal consumption, increased capital costs for strapping, fittings, instrumentation and automation (control and automation).

Utility Model Disclosure
The objective of the claimed utility model is to overcome the disadvantages of the prior art and in particular to create a membrane gas separation module, in the housing of which more than two membrane cartridges can be placed without harming the effective operation of the module, as well as a significant reduction in the material consumption of the membrane installation the areas occupied by it, expensive instrumentation and automation, shut-off and control valves.
The technical result of the claimed solution is to provide the possibility of placing two or more membrane cartridges in the housing with a significant reduction in the material consumption of the membrane installation, the areas occupied by it, expensive instrumentation and automation devices, shut-off and control valves. Moreover, this design of the module does not lead to a deterioration in its operation and gas separation efficiency, does not require modification of the structure or its strengthening.
To achieve a technical result, a membrane gas separation module is proposed, consisting of a horizontal pressure head body with two end flanges (1), on which there are side nozzles (C) for the removal of gas passing along the membrane (retentate), as well as nozzles (A) for supplying the source gas and (B) for removing gas passing through the membrane (permeate), at least 2 membrane gas separation cartridges are installed inside the housing, consisting of a blank (3) and open (4) compound seal, inside of which x membrane hollow fibers (5) are placed, a perforated tube (6) is used as a skeleton for compound terminations, which is hermetically sealed on the outer surface into a blind (3) and open (4) compound terminations and along which membrane hollow fibers are laid (5) , for organizing the required regime of gas flow along the fibers, the membrane cartridge has a casing (7), ring seals (8) are installed for sealing individual zones of the module, for connecting several membrane cartridges in the membrane module are connected inimitable support bushings (2), supporting the support load for cartridges created by the pressure difference between chambers A and B.
The main active element of the proposed design is a membrane gas separation cartridge, inside of which hollow membrane fibers are placed, with the help of which gas separation occurs.
The gas separation mechanism is called “dissolution-diffusion”, the driving force of the process is the difference in the partial pressures of the components. In industry, asymmetric or composite membranes are used that have a thin continuous selective layer that causes separation, and a porous substrate that provides mechanical support. The initial mixture is fed into the hollow fiber or outside. The components of the gas mixture, reaching a selective layer, overcome a semipermeable membrane at different speeds. Therefore, the gas flowing along the membrane surface is depleted in those components that penetrate the membrane more easily.
The number of membrane gas separation cartridges is at least 2. This means that the number of cartridges can be any integer from 2 or more, i.e. for example, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and even more, for example, 20, 30 or more. The indicated intervals also include values located between and may even exceed them. In general, the number of cartridges can be any, and is limited only by the maximum size of the module and the scale of production. Preferably, the number of cartridges is even, i.e. 2, 4, 6, etc., however, an odd number of cartridges (3, 5, 7, etc.) are also acceptable. In this case, the unpaired cartridge will rest on the side flange, in which in this case it is necessary to integrate another permeate outlet pipe.
Cartridges are located in the housing sequentially one after another. For the organization of flows, all cartridges work in parallel.
This module design is applicable both for cartridges with a countercurrent model of gas movement inside the cartridge (shown in Fig. 1), and for cross-accurate cartridge models.

Compound terminations can be epoxy or polyurethane compounds, a perforated tube can be made of metal, plastic, composite, O-rings can be made of polyurethane, EPDM and other gas-resistant materials, the casing can be made of polyethylene, teflon and other materials resistant to gas components.
Utility Model Implementation
For separation, the source gas under high pressure enters the gas supply nozzles A and, evenly distributed along the fibers (5), flows through the perforation of the pipes (6) into the nozzles C to discharge the prepared (processed) gas. The pressure in the nozzles C differs from the inlet pressure only in the presence of hydraulic resistance that arises when the gas moves along the hollow membrane fibers (5). The gas penetrating through the hollow membrane fibers (5) and enriched in an easily permeable component (e.g. helium, hydrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, etc.) moves through the channels inside the fibers and enters the chamber formed by the connecting support sleeve (2 ) and then into pipe B for permeate removal. The pressure in this chamber is many times less than the working pressure in the chambers of the branch pipes A. Thus, thanks to this design, more than 2 membrane cartridges can be placed in one housing. The oppositely directed forces arising in the adjacent high-pressure chambers A are mutually neutralized, relying on the connecting support sleeve, without transferring forces to other paired membrane cartridges. This, in turn, does not require modification (reinforcement) of the mechanical design of the membrane cartridge. Obviously, the number of metal-intensive end flanges (C) requires only 2 pcs.
The tests showed the high efficiency of the proposed module in the separation of gases. The design of the gas separation module provides the possibility of placing two or more membrane cartridges in the housing, as well as a significant reduction in the material consumption of the membrane installation, the areas occupied by it, expensive instrumentation and control devices, and shut-off and control valves. Moreover, this design of the module does not lead to a deterioration in its operation and gas separation efficiency, does not require modification of the structure or its strengthening.
