Technical field

This utility model relates to protective covers for wall mounted devices such as an electrical switch, electrical connector, and the like.

State of the art

It is known to use protective covers to protect devices embedded in a wall, such as electrical switches, sockets, data connectors, and the like.

Such protective covers can be used, for example, to avoid staining these devices when painting the walls where they are installed.

A disadvantage of such a currently known protective cover that fits snugly on top of the integrated device is the need to use a tool, such as a screwdriver, to remove the protective cover after use.

In addition, the prior art knows the technical solution disclosed in the application US 20030056968 A1 (H02G 3/14, 03/27/2003), according to which the protective cover includes a housing forming a container for electrical accessories, and a tab located in the Central part of the housing of the protective cover and designed to facilitate removal of this protective cover. When removing the wired cover, the force applied to the tongue will be evenly distributed to all fastening elements located on the periphery of the protective cover, which will make it necessary for the user to apply enough force to simultaneously separate all the fastening elements.

Thus, obviously, there is a need for a protective cover that can be easily installed and removed without the use of any tool and also allows you to operate an integrated device, such as an electric switch, without having to remove the protective cover.

The protective cover according to the present utility model eliminates the disadvantages mentioned above and provides other advantages described below.

The protective cover for devices embedded in the wall, in accordance with this utility model, comprises a housing forming a housing for said device, and is characterized in that it comprises a tongue protruding from the housing.

In a preferred embodiment of the utility model, said tongue forms an acute angle with a plane formed by the housing, wherein the tongue is preferably located in one of the corners of the housing.

In addition, the housing preferably contains a peripheral protrusion, which may contain at least one mounting protrusion located, for example, next to the specified tongue.

In a preferred embodiment of the utility model, said at least one mounting protrusion is located in a corner in which the tongue is located, and in accordance with a preferred embodiment, said housing comprises a mounting protrusion in each of its corners.

According to a preferred embodiment, at least one part of said body is made of an elastic material, for example plastic.

Thanks to these distinguishing features, the protective cover according to the present utility model can be easily removed by simply pulling on the tongue, without using any tools.

In addition, due to the elasticity of at least part of the lid body, an integrated device can be actuated without having to remove the protective cover.

Utility Model Implementation

Firstly, it should be noted that in the present description and formula, when referring to a device built into a wall, it is understood that they cover any device that is usually built into a wall, for example, such as a switch, socket, network connector, etc.

The protective cover in accordance with this utility model includes a housing 1, fully or partially made of an elastic material, such as plastic. The elasticity of the material allows the housing to partially deform, as shown in FIG. 3, so that an integrated device 5, such as an electric switch, can be actuated.

The specified housing 1 may have any suitable shape, for example, rectangular or square, ensuring a match with the shape of the built-in device 5 on which it is placed.

In addition, the housing 1 comprises a peripheral protrusion 3, as shown in FIG. 1, which preferably includes a plurality of locking tabs 4 to facilitate the connection of the housing 1 with the integrated device 5 and which is connected by pressing to the inlets 6 made on the integrated device 5.

In addition, the protective cover includes a tab 2, which allows you to easily remove the protective cover from the built-in device 5, without the need for tools.

The specified tab 2 is preferably located in the corner of the peripheral protrusion 3, but it can be located in any other suitable place.

In order to facilitate the removal of the protective cover, the tongue 2 forms an acute angle with the plane defined by the housing 1, as shown in the figures.

As mentioned above, the removal of the protective cover is very easy, you just need to pull the tab 2, causing the case 1 to be disconnected from the device 5. For example, in accordance with this embodiment, the removal is achieved due to the fact that the locking protrusions 4 are removed from the respective inlets 6.

Despite the fact that the above description is made for a specific embodiment of the utility model, it will be obvious to those skilled in the art that numerous variations and changes are possible in the described protective cover, and all of the above details can be replaced with other, technically equivalent, without going beyond limits of the scope of protection defined by the attached formula.

A protective cover for devices embedded in the wall, comprising a housing (1) forming a receptacle for said device, and characterized in that it comprises a tongue (2), and the housing (1) contains a peripheral protrusion (3) on which is located tongue (2). 2. The protective cover according to claim 1, in which the tab (2) forms an acute angle with the plane formed by the specified housing (1). 3. The protective cover according to claim 1 or 2, in which the tab (2) is located on one of the corners of the specified housing (1). 4. The protective cover according to claim 1, in which the peripheral protrusion (3) contains at least one mounting protrusion (4). 5. The protective cover according to claim 4, in which at least one mounting protrusion (4) is located next to the tongue (2). 6. The protective cover according to claim 5, in which at least one mounting protrusion (4) is located in the corner in which the tongue (2) is placed. 7. The protective cover according to claim 4, wherein said housing (1) comprises mounting tabs (4) in each of its corners. 8. The protective cover according to claim 1 or 2, in which at least one of the parts of the housing (1) is made of elastic material. 9. The protective cover according to claim 8, in which the housing (1) is made of plastic.
