Peat-based sorbent Granular
The utility model relates to sorbents made on the basis of peat and intended for water purification, collection of oil products from the surface of the water, like filling for toilets of pets.
A sorbent based on peat is known (RF Patent No. 2102319, class C 01 B 31/16, B 01 j 20/30, 1998). The sorbent is made in the form of granules from peat with a degree of decomposition of 10-15% and a humidity of 20- 30% by rolling peat on a plate granulator and then drying it to a constant weight.
However, this sorbent is expensive due to the D1statality and the difficulty of obtaining it, including preliminary washing and boiling of peat with further treatment with an aqueous solution of sodium and manganese salts. In addition, this adsorbent due to the introduction of chemical reagents into it, has limited use and, in addition, the hydrophobic properties of the sorbent are reduced.
The task of creating a utility model is to simplify, reduce the cost of granular sorbent and expand the scope.
The problem is achieved in that the sorbent based on peat, made in the form of rounded granules, according to a utility model, the granules are made in size from 3.0 to 10.0 mm
5 .It is advisable that the granules be made of peat of the upper type, forest-swamp subtype, Magellanicum or Pusicephalaceous species with a decomposition degree of 5-15%, humidity 60-65%, ash content 10-20%, weediness 8-10% and water absorption of at least 5 .
It is desirable that the finished granules correspond to a moisture content of 35-45% and a bulk density of 250-350 kg / m3.
The size of the granules is chosen optimal, allowing its use in a wide range of applications. Moreover, if the size of the fanules is less than 3.0 mm, then during operation of the sorbent, for example, for filling toilets for pets, it will be dusty, and if granules are larger than 10.0 mm, the efficiency of the sorbent decreases due to a decrease in the contact area with the cleaned liquid.
For the production of granulated sorbents, peat of the top type, forest-swamp subtype, Magellanicum species or Pusheci-sphagnum are used. Peat raw materials must comply with the following standards:
8-10%weediness 8-10%
Peat sorbent is produced by pelletizing the separated peat in a plate granulator to a granule size of 3.0-10.0 mm, followed by their drying to a predetermined humidity and indicators:
зольность25-35%ash content 25-35%
The finished sorbent Granular based on peat can be used either by filling it on a contaminated (for example, oil products) surface or by filling a container intended for toilets of domestic animals, mainly cats. The granular peat sorbent does not contain substances harmful to animals and humans and is manufactured using environmentally friendly technology. In addition, the granular sorbent removes unpleasant odors by 99% and can absorb up to five times more liquid than it weighs. Solid animal excrement is easily removed from peat sorbents. One bed is enough for two cats for a week to use the toilet. Spent sorbent can be used in
качестве основы для приготовления садового грунта, в качестве основы для комноста или готового удобрения, а также мелиоранта тяжелых ночв.as the basis for the preparation of garden soil, as the basis for komnost or finished fertilizer, as well as ameliorant of heavy nights.
Experimental batches of sorbent based on granular peat were obtained at LLC PC Tvertorf. Checking them gave positive results. The industrial development of peat granular sorbent is being prepared.
