Abstract

Convective universal industrial drier using water as a medium of heat transfer instead of air. A large convective industrial drier has all good features of a small chamber drier: uniform air flow, the same temperatures in all points of drying chamber, control of air humidity and recupertion of heat energy. The universality has at least three aspecsts. First, according to this principle it is possible to design a drier of any capacity: a small one with one mini chamber (500 kgs), as well as a large one with 30 mini chambers (15 tons). Second, having water as the heat transfer medium it is possible to use in a simple way any source of energy which is the most convenient in a location at the moment. Third, in the drier any biomaterial can be dried because there is a possibility of all important parameters of drying process to be monitored, and a possibility of drying process to be regulated depending on the sort of biomaterial dried and its drying curve.
