Abstract

Invention herewith described refers to the protective sock with the shin guard and ankle protector for football players whose purpose is to prevent injuries of the shinbone and ankle joints by the opposing players during a match. In the sock (2) there are built-in the double-layered shin guard and ankle protectors (6). The outer layer (1) of the shin guard is made of hard plastic to which is, on the inside that sits on the player’s shin bone, attached the second layer (4) made of foamy mass or the rubber foam which is about 5 mm larger than the outer plastic layer (1). Both layers (1, 4) are combined into one unit by stitching with strong thread (3). The bottom of the sock (2) is reinforced by the rubber band (5) with two attached plastic guards (6). The upper part of the sock (2) is also reinforced by the rubber band (7) for better fitting and fastening to the player’s leg.
