Abstract

Invention herewith described refers to the aquatic type lithium-ion battery in which the cathode material Li1.05Cr0.10Mn1.85O is synthesized by glycine nitrate procedure, the anode material is a commercial V2O5, and the electrolyte is saturated solution LiNO3 containing 0 wt.%, 0.5 wt.%, 1 wt.% and 2 wt.% of vynilene carbonate (VC). The battery has a voltage of 0.7V. The addition of VC in all concentrations affects the increase of initial capacity as well as the reduction of capacity decline during cycling, which is especially pronounced in the case of 1 wt.% VC. The initial discharge capacity in this case is even 112 mAhg-1, and after the hundredth cycle the capacity decline is only 18%.
