Abstract

Invention herewith described refers to the kinetic energy absorber for vehicle collision prevention that in a critical situation when the existing braking system cannot stop the vehicle before the inevitable crash, activates the device, independently of the driver’s will, for safe stopping of a vehicle. Activation of the device ignites propellant or explosive charge of another type in which process the penetrator (4) made of hard metal, penetrates into the road surface. While continuing to move further on, the vehicle unwinds the elastic element (2.1), which rotates the drum (5) in which process the connecting rod (6) moves in a straight line and compresses oil in the cylinder (8). Oil from the cylinder (8) passes through the tube extension (10) into the precombustion chamber (a) and then through the calibrated holes for oil flow into the chamber (b) where the kinetic energy of the vehicle is partly converted into heat for oil heating. One part of the hydraulic oil flows through the tube adaptor (c) towards the existing brake system of the vehicle keeping the brake activated until the vehicle stops
