Abstract
Inventia se refera la un insert oftalmic aplicabil în sacul conjunctival al ochiului uman, folosind ca suport macromolecular xantanul (polizaharid de cultura microbiana) în care se retine, prin includere sau legare ionica, pilocarpina, adrenalina, xilina. Inventia prezinta avantajul ca asigura eliberarea controlata în timp a medicamentelor în sacul conjunctival al ochiului uman, producînd un efect miotic superior celui asigurat prin administrarea instilatiilor periodice de solutii ale acestora;insertul prezinta stabilitate în timp 16 h si este perfect tolerat de catre ochi în aceasta perioada, fara a da efecte secundare-ulceratii, senzatie de corp strain, lacrimare abundenta.
