Inventia de fata descrie un procedeu de oxidare a hidrazodicarboxamidei la azodicarboxamida, folosind ca agent de oxidare apa oxigenata 30% si ca initiatori solutii apoase de hipobromit de sodiu sau de potasiu, ca atare sau în amestec, în prezenta de acid sulfuric. Reactia decurge în conditii specifice de temperatura si timp de contact, la anumite rapoarte molare între reactanti. Se obtin randamente mari în produs de oxidare, raportate la hidrazodicarboxamida.
