Inventia se refera la un procedeu de obtinere a acizilor alifatici inferiori prin oxidarea catalitica a aldehidelor cu oxigen la presiunea normala, în instalatii continui sau discontinui, caracterizat prin aceea ca, în vederea îmbunatatirii mersului reactiei de oxidare foloseste drept catalizatori combinatii complexe heterodinucleare ca vanadiu si cupru, cu formula generala CuVO(C2O4)2.L.H2O în care L reprezinta bipiridil, fenil sau poate lipsi.
