Abstract
Inventia se refera la o Mutanta de Microcococcus varians ICCF-38, utilizata pentru obtinerea de proteine monocelulare de natura alimentara, care apare sub forma de coci gram-pozitivi, de dimensiuni reduse, de aproximativ 3..5 nium în diametru, asezati neregulat în cîmpul microscopic, prezinta o stricta dependenta de mentol, rezistenta la glicina, 0,5...2%, stabilitate genetica si un randament ridicat de 50...55% de bioconversie a mentolului în biomasa, se obtine în celule de Micrococcus varians ICCF-37, aflate în faza logaritmica de crestere pe un mediu mineral cu metanol, supuse unui tratament mutagen, cu N-metil-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanina, apoi spalate cu o solutie izotonica de clorura de sodiu si selectate prin metoda replicii dupa criteriile de stricta dependenta de mentol si rezistenta la glicina.
