Inventia se refera la un procedeu si la un echipament pentru cresterea capacitatii de umplere cu tutun a benzii de hîrtie pentru tigarete, care permit obtinerea unei densitati uniforme printr-o conditionare a temperaturii între 54,5 degree C (130 degree F) si 121 degree C (250 degree F), cu o umiditate de 15...35%, urmate de o uscare cu gaz fierbinte, pentru reducerea umiditatii la 11% pîna la 16% într-un timp de 15 s. Echipamentul ce permite realizarea procedeului consta din niste mijloace de destindere, de transport si de tratare a benzii de tutun taiat într-un gaz, mijloacele fiind legate functional, pentru coborîrea rapida a continutului de umiditate în circa 5 s.
