Valturile de alimentare pentru prese cu melc aplicate în industria ceramica, conform inventiei, constau din piese suport de o forma care corespunde aproximativ formei finale a valturilor si care sunt confectionate, de preferinta, din spuma dura de poliuretan si sunt prevazute cu un strat acoperitor rezistent la uzura, din 80...120 parti masa de corindon artificial de mare puritate si 3...10 parti masa de agenti tixotropici, avînd o duritate de functionare de cîteva ori mai mare decît a valturilor cunoscute.
