Abstract
Inventia se refera la un procedeu pentru prepararea clorhidratului de p-metilaminofenl prin reducerea catalitica a p-nitrofenolului cu hidrogen molecular, în prezenta de catalizator Ni Raney la presiune de 15 at si temperatura de 60...70 degree C în mediu de alcool metilic, obtinîndu-se p-aminofenol care se trateaza cu solutie apoasa de formaldehida în atmosfera de gaz inert, urmata de hideogenare la aceeasi temperatura si presiune ca mai sus obtinîndu-se p-metilaminofenolul, conform inventiei principale cu descrierea nr. 79996 si anume în scopul îndepartarii p-nitroderivatilor se supune p-nitrofenolul tehnic unei antrenari cu vapori dupa care se realizeaza metilarea reductiva în doua trepte, produsul obtinîndu-se sub forma de clorhidrat care se purifica printr-o singura recristalizare din apa distilata.The invention relates to a process for the preparation of p-methylaminophenol hydrochloride by the catalytic reduction of p-nitrophenol with molecular hydrogen in the presence of a Ni Raney catalyst at a pressure of 15 atm and a temperature of 60 to 70 ° C in a medium of methyl alcohol , obtaining p-aminophenol which is treated with aqueous formaldehyde solution in an inert gas atmosphere followed by hydrogenation at the same temperature and pressure as above to obtain p-methylaminophenol according to the main invention as described in U.S. Pat. 79996 in order to remove the p-nitro derivatives, technical p-nitrophenol is subjected to a steam trap, after which the reductive methylation is carried out in two stages, the product being obtained as the hydrochloride which is purified by a single recrystallization from the distilled water.
