Inventia se refera la un procedeu pentru hidrogenarea benzenului la ciclohexan în faza gazoasa în prezenta de catalizatori metalici deputi pe suport, conform caruia, în scopul obtinerii unei conversii a benzenului pîna la 99,99%, amestecul de vapori de benzen si hidrogen, se trece la o presiune de minimum 0,5 MPa de prefeinta 1....2,5 MPa si o temperatura de 100.....300 degree C, de preferinta 150.....220 degree C, succesiv prin doua paturi de catalizator, primul continînd Pt sau Pd si al doilea Ni, ambii depusi pe oxid de aluminiu.The invention relates to a process for the hydrogenation of benzene to cyclohexane in the gas phase in the presence of supported metal catalysts according to which, in order to obtain a benzene conversion to 99.99%, the benzene and hydrogen vapor mixture is passed at a pressure of at least 0.5 MPa of preference 1 ... 2.5 MPa and a temperature of 100 ... 300 degrees C, preferably 150 ... 220 degrees C, successively by two beds of the catalyst, the first containing Pt or Pd and the second Ni, both deposited on aluminum oxide.
