Abstract

The invention relates to an electrical-mechanical device for consumer products advertising in stores, using sound and motion means, at the moment when a client passes in front of a shelf. According to the invention, the device consists of a box (A) having inside a stepper motor (1) coupled to an engaging wheel (2) to which the internal end of a mobile arm (3) is attached, while the other end is supported by some bearings (10) and provided with a system (11) for fixing a product (13), a loudspeaker (4), a microprocessor (5), an MP3 player (6), a driver (7) for the stepper motor (1) and a voltage regulator (8), a distance sensor (12) being placed outside to control the start of the microprocessor (5) when a client passes in front of the product (13), the motion of the wheel (2) being controlled by a position sensor (9) which detects the position of the wheel (2) and controls the change of the direction of movement of the motor (1) back and forth.

Description

Device for promoting products on the shelf through sound and movement

The invention relates to an electro-mechanical device for promoting consumer products in stores (supermarket, pharmacies, gas stations, etc.), through sound and movement, when a consumer passes the shelf right.

At present, different methods of promoting the products on the shelf are known, such as:

- through promoters (the presence of a natural person who explains to the consumer the advantages of the respective product).

- through POSM system (Point of Sales Materials) - cardboard or paper ads placed in various areas of the store.

- via display (LCD screen running video ads)

- through audio devices (running audio content around the product)

- through radio broadcast advertisements through the sound system of the store

The disadvantages of these systems are the lack of visibility of the products on the shelf due to the multitude of other products and the inability to communicate the potential buyer of the benefits of the product in an efficient and memorable way.

The technical problem solved by the present invention consists in the direct interaction of the products displayed on the shelves with the potential consumer, implicitly their promotion, through sound and movement.

The advantages of the device according to the invention are:

- through this device, the product itself comes to life and communicates directly with the consumer in an interactive way;

- the device has a simple construction that does not involve laborious technologies;

- presents a low cost price, compared to the components used;

- From a functional point of view, it is simple to use.

- is intended for a wide range of products.

The device for promoting the products on the shelf by sound and movement according to the present invention consists of a box A, which is located on the shelf, behind the visible product line.

Inside the box A are mounted a stepper motor coupled to a drive wheel 2 3D print, a microprocessor 5, an MP3 player 6, a driver 7 for the stepper motor 1, a voltage regulator 8 and an audio speaker 4.

The inner end of an aluminum arm 3 is attached to the drive wheel 2. Thus the movable arm moves on the xy axes back and forth, due to the controlled movement of the wheel 2. To precisely control the movement, a position sensor 9 is located next to the wheel 2, which detects the point at which the wheel is located and gives the motor 1 control It changes its direction when the wheel 2 reaches a specific point.

The movable arm 3 is supported by bearings 10, disposed in box A and has the external end disposed on the outside of box A. It is provided with a clamping system 11, to which is attached a product 13 exposed to the shelf.

Outside box A, a distance sensor 12 is provided, located in the proximity of the product, so that, when the consumer passes the right of the respective product 13, the sensor gives an automatic control to the microprocessor 5 inside the box. Once this command has been received, the motor 1 is actuated. The motor in turn spins the wheel 2 from which the internal end of the movable arm 3 is caught.

At the same time as this movement of the motor components 1 - wheel 2 - arm 3 - product 13, the microprocessor 5 gives the command of the MP3 player 6 and it scrolls the audio file on the MicroSD card that is inserted in the port related to the player.

The duration of the movement is synchronized with the duration of the audio file through software programming written on the microprocessor.

Several different audio files can be played in succession, and the duration between activations can be modified according to the requirements, by means of software programming.

After the distance sensor 12 is activated, by moving the gear wheel 2, respectively the movable arm 3, the product moves in the air forward and backward until the audio file is completed (Figure 2b). at that moment he returns to the ground, at the initial point, according to figure 2a.

The A box containing the mechanism can be made of MDF, plastic, plywood, wood or plexiglass. The components of the box are protected by a removable cover that attaches to the box with two metal screws, not shown.

In the event that additional fixing of the box is needed, it can also be provided with two metal fastening elements on the shelf.

Device for promoting the products on the shelf by sound and movement characterized by the fact that it consists of a box (A) having internally a stepper motor (1) coupled to a gear wheel (2) of which it is clamped to the inner end of a movable arm (3) supported at the opposite end by some bearings (10) and provided with a clamping system (11) of the product (13), an audio speaker (4), a microprocessor (5), a MP3 player (6), a motor driver (7), a voltage regulator (8), and a remote sensor (12) that automatically controls the microprocessor (5) when the conductor is fitted outside the box (A). passes through the product right, the movement of the wheel (2) being controlled by a position sensor (9) that detects at which point the wheel (2) is and commands the engine (1) to change its forward-reverse direction.
