Abstract

The invention relates to a stand for measuring the total and partial moments of friction in the radial-axial ball bearings, there being taken into account the influence of the shaft rigidity.The stand comprises a main shaft (1) driven in the rotary motion by an electromotor (22), on some bearings (2) there being provided a bushing (3) having mounted thereon some bearings (4 and 5) to be tested, a housing (10) and a cover (11) fastened to the end of the housing (10) resting on said bearings. The radial loading of the bearings (4 and 5) to be tested is achieved by a screw-nut mechanism (6), through a leaf spring (8), a ball (9) and a bushing (7). The radial loading is applied through a nut (17), a spacer (16), some springs (15) and an annular body (14). In the region of the cover (11) the housing (10) is provided with an elongate bore (a) having an elongation (b) allowing the relative displacement of the housing (10) as against the bearing (4), the position being adjusted and ensured with a screw (33). A plate fin (29) fastened between a support (28) which is integral with the housing (10) and a second support (30) fastened to a base plate (31) is deformed proportionally with the moment of friction between the rolling bodies and the runways of the external rings of the bearings (4 and 5) to be tested, the deformation of the plate fin (29) being detected by some resistive tensometric transducers (32).
