Abstract

The invention relates to a multifunctional ecological lustre for simultaneously or sequentially lighting the chamber, filtering and heating the air in order to create comfort in the room. The lustre comprises a supporting rod (1) articulated to a hook fixed in the room ceiling, where it is connected to the supply electric circuit. A metal or plastic hood (2) is demountably fixed to rod (1), said hood being provided with a slot for the purified and heated air outlet, and being fastened to the lustre shade (3) by screws. The lustre shade plays the role of housing for a filtering stage (4) consisting of a non-woven geotextile filtering material. The filtering stage (4) is supported on a metal mesh (5) and has the role of trapping the particles suspended in the room air. On the rod (1) there is mounted an elctromotor (6) which drives a fan (7) which has the role to create a depression behind the air filtering stage (4), thus forcing the aspiration of air from the room. The lustre also comprises one or more lighting units (8). During the operation of the lighting unit the air is preheated, being then passed through a heating stage (9) consisting of one or more electric resistances (10) connected in series and through a conductor accomodated within the rod (1) to the supply network. The fan (7) and the heating stage (9) are controlled by a temperature sensor (11) mounted to the outer side of the lustre shade (3), said sensor allowing the resistence coupling only when the room temperature is below an adjusted limit. The lustre operation is controlled by a double switch with a position for lighting and the other position for the fan, and simultaneously the fan and the resistences.
