Invenţia se referă la un procedeu de obţinere a peroxidului de bariu de înaltă puritate, stabilizat corespunzător, constând în reacţia dintre o soluţie de azotat de bariu, apă oxigenată şi amoniac, urmată de spălarea precipitatului de peroxid de bariu, centrifugarea şi uscarea acestuia. Peroxidul de bariu este utilizat în pirotehnie.
