Abstract
Invenţia se referă la un soi de pătlăgele vinete (Salonum melongena L), cu denumirea Lucia, obţinut prin selecţie individuală repetată, aplicată populaţiei segregante, provenită din soiul Ronda (F), recomandat a fi cultivat în toate zonele favorabile acestei culturi din ţară, cu precădere în sudul, sud-estul şi sud-vestul ţării, pentru consum în stare proaspătă şi industrializare. Plantele prezintă o puternică ramificare, cu 4...5 lăstari bazali. Tulpina, lăstarii, peţiolul frunzelor şi caliciul fructelor sunt acoperite cu perişori fini, deşi, de culoare alburie. Fructele, de formă ovoid-alungită spre piriformă, sunt de culoare violet-închis (negru), lucioase, uniforme. Soiul Lucia are o bună capacitate de producţie (46,5...48,5t/ha), depăşind soiul martor cu 18,4%. Este un soi semitimpuriu, 124 zile perioada de vegetaţie, cu o comportare bună faţă de atacul principalelor boli. Culoarea, luciul şi uniformitatea fructelor le conferă un aspect comercial remarcabil.
