Abstract
Method consists of admin. of FENTANIL intravenously at 0.5 mg/kg body wt. as a starting dose, followed by 0.1-0.2 mg/kg body wt. at 20 min. intervals. Analgesia is due to successively injected PIAFEN, starting 40-50 mins. prior to the cessation of surgical intervention, in 5 ml. doses intramuscularly at first and then intravenously in 3-5 min. intervals - to correspond to the development of anaesthesia - in 250 mls. glucose soln. at 5-10% concn. perfused intravenously at a 80-160 drops/min. rate
