Abstract

The portable cutting device is used for grooved wedge or similar cuttings on mechanical pieces, and especially on shafts still installed on machines. The device comprises a frame (A) with a rest base on its inferior part, through which some mobile jaws (3) fastened screw spindles (2) and press upon some screw dies (4), while in its superior part, it has a plate (15) with a cut-out (h) and guiders along which moves another rest base (13). The latter has an external cylinder (10), joined with a screw inner cylinder (9), to which an electromotor (8) is attached, which drives the cutting tool. The radial advance is created by a pair of gear wheels (a, 11), which join the external cylinder (10) with a controlling rod (12).<IMAGE>
