Abstract
Emulsion polymerisation of vinyl chloride comprises a technique for controlling the polymer particle dimensions. This obviates the need for the use of surfactants, other than initially, where the ionic/anionic surfactant proportion is 1/0.5 - 1/8. The seeds in the emulsion act as particle-type seats for the polymerisation.
