Abstract

This support, moulded in one piece (1), comprises a cage (2) composed of a perforated upper cage-half (6) and a lower cage-half (5), which are articulated to one another by a film hinge (7). Description

DESCRIPTION

The present invention relates to a support for a product, in particular for a coloring product, intended to be fixed by a hook on the edge of a toilet bowl.

The purpose of such a device is to distribute a colored solution produced for a limited time, following the activation of the flush toilet for cleaning and / or disinfecting toilet bowls and is currently constituted by a refill of water-soluble disinfectant product placed inside a cage with openings, the latter being associated with a hook that allows its suspension on the rim of the toilet bowl. When flushing is activated, a part of the flushing water is poured over the open cage and, by dissolution, it drags a part of the active substances contained in the product refill to the bottom of the basin.

On the other hand, most of the time, the refill of the disinfectant product incorporates a dye that allows the water to be dyed each time you use the toilet. However, the use of

disinfectant and dye refills present the drawback that, after each flushing of the cistern, the cage bars and the product refill contained therein are very naturally drained. Under these conditions, water droplets with an increasing concentration of dye may fall, sometimes for hours, on the walls of the basin, leaving a colored trail, which is not very aesthetic and which can be all the more difficult to make disappear the longer it takes. during which the cage drains.

To remedy this inconvenience, one can first consider using a cage whose bottom part constitutes a reservoir provided with an outlet orifice. It follows that the draining of the upper part with openings from the cage and the recharge takes place inside the reservoir of the cage; however, the water level in the reservoir, after activating the flushing toilet, remains in the alignment of the outlet orifice and, if there is a runoff in the part with openings, the water level rises, which translates into a loss of drops of water. colored water flowing through the reservoir outlet. As a result, a runoff is always obtained, but with a lower concentration of the dye, since it comes from the outlet hole of the reservoir.

In order to completely solve the problem posed above, in other words, to completely suppress the phenomenon of runoff in order to prevent the formation of colored tracks, it was then proposed that the outlet hole of the reservoir ends up in a pipe bent at the elbow that forms a siphon, the elbow being placed above the exit hole.

When flushing is activated, the water level in the reservoir passes above the elbow of the siphon pipe; the siphon is then primed and there is a flow of colored water through the siphon channel; when the water level falls below the outlet hole of the reservoir, air enters inside the siphon channel which causes the siphon to deform. In this case, even if there is a

-2- ORIGINAL BAD ¹ drainage of the disinfectant and dye refill from the cage bars into the reservoir, the water level inside the cage can rise slightly to the level of the siphon elbow, without this translating to a loss of colorful water drops.

Numerous embodiments of disinfectant and colored product supports, provided with siphons, have been presented inside or outside the cage. The embodiments in which the siphon is placed in the cage are extremely expensive since such an arrangement involves complicated molding and / or the application of individual parts to the cage.

A first simplification of manufacture was introduced by the arrangement of the siphon outside the cage, as shown by the different embodiments of the French patent FR-A-81 09 221 and in its first certificate of addition. However, in all of these embodiments, the suspension hook, which at least partially defines the siphon channel, is an element applied in the cage. Thus, such external siphon embodiments require a stage of mounting the hook in the cage.

Another embodiment is described in patent CH-A-651 622 which describes a support made of a single piece comprising a cage consisting of two half cages, respectively upper and lower, an inner siphon, located at one end of the cage and a hook for hanging the cage. Always in this document, © siphon comprises a pipe bent at the elbow defined by an appendix and covered with a lid. But this configuration is asymmetric and results in an irregular flow of water.

The object of the present invention is to further simplify the manufacture of product supports intended to be fixed by a hook on the edge of a toilet bowl and provided with an external siphon.

by a right-angled outward bend, formed at the edge of the upper half cage. The support according to the present invention is therefore made of a single piece by molding plastic material, the channeling of the siphon being defined by an organ that is carried by an upper half cage, the two half cages being connected together, by at least one tape hinge. On the other hand, the suspension hook is carried by one of the half cages, for example the lower half cage, and it can be provided that it is hinged in it so that it can be molded in a folded position. The relative arrangement of the complementary members that must make up the siphon, the articulation of the half cages and the suspension hook is then chosen so that the support can be molded in the above folded position of the hook and in the open position of the half cages.

After molding, a simple folding of the upper half cage on the lower half cage in which the disinfectant substance was placed, followed by the locking of the cage thus constituted by complementary means of fixing by fitting provided for this purpose, allows the reconstitution of the support. The hook is then placed in its position that allows it to hang on the edge of a toilet bowl.

As can be seen, the support (1) just described is made up of a single piece that comes from molding, in the position shown in figs. 4 and 5. In this position, the two

half cages (5) and (6) are fully open and the hook (20), connected to the lower half cage (5), will surround the upper half cage (6), with its terminal branch (22), at the exit of the mold, connected at a provisional fixation point (27), to the side wall (6c) of the upper half cage (6). For molding, it is necessary to provide a drawer to constitute the orifice (16) for the flushing water to flow between the reservoir formed by the lower half cage (5) and the siphon formed in the appendix (10).

Setting up the support (1) ready for use is extremely simple. After inserting the refill (4) in the lower half cage (5) so that it rests on the shims (8), and after having broken the connection (27), the upper half cage (6) is folded until it locks of the complementary organs (9) and (25), constituting at the same time the complete appendix (10), after which the hook (3) is folded around the tape hinge (19) and the hook is maintained ( 3) pushing the branch (20) until the tab tooth (26) moves away from the passage of this branch (20) and then it will lock it in its position.

When the water level falls below the level of the upper edge of the orifice (16), air penetrates into the folded siphon channel, which results in an immediate stoppage of the flow. The level of residual water inside the reservoir made up of the lower half cage (5) is located below the bottom of the refill (4) resting on the shims (8).
